Positive: A wonderful place to visit if you're looking for an immersive for Japanese onsen experience complete with exceptional authentic Japanese cuisine. Private onsen are available, including in your own room. The staff is incredibly nice and the facilities kept clean. It's a sprawling place, with a number of floors and passageways to various places to sit and relax and enjoy the hot spring waters. Because it's about 2 hours by train from Tokyo, and about twice as far from Kyoto, it's probably best too make this trip when en route from one city to the other. Being in a neighborhood and less big city touristy environment (although there are supportive businesses), there's not much English spoken. There's hardly any need to leave the comfort of these facilities and your traditional yukata daily wear (provided and encouraged throughout this facility). We were fortunate to have Yaburaz (from Nepal) as our greeter and host. He explained everything very well in English from transportation needs to all other aspects of our stay. Thank goodness for him and everyone on the wonderful staff.

Negative: Two nights were quite expensive (more than $400 USD each night), but we wanted the full experience with the best onsen and meals available. We didn't like having 2 beds instead of one, but the big room was very comfortable.

Positive: The property was amazing. My fiancee and I used the suite with the private onsen attached and the experience was truly one of a kind. The food and service were also unmatched. This place was one of my favorite stops on my Japan trip, and I stayed for 20 days!
