Positive: A very nice house above Padangbai. We really enjoyed the area, the house, the yard, the view, the swimming pool, the sunrise. Padangbai and the beautiful beaches around are reachable within walking distance. The host family is super nice, friendly, and supportive. Was a great place to slow down and enjoy some more relaxed days in Bali :) Suksma 🙏🏼

Negative: As the place is a bit high with a steep road, some of the taxi drivers do not want to come up. We had this case and were greatly supported by the host in this situation 🙏🏼

Positive: The villa is located on a hill overlooking the city and port. The views are superb, and the grounds are well-maintained and comfortable. The villa is equipped with a kitchen with a large refrigerator, stove, and all necessary kitchen utensils. The villa is two-story, with a spiral staircase leading to the second floor (please keep this in mind). The bedroom and bathroom are located on the second floor, where there is also a desk suitable for working. The grounds feature a large swimming pool with depths ranging from half a meter to two meters. There is also a yoga area and a large covered area with tables.

Negative: The toilet is located in the main space, next to the bedroom. The toilet has no ceiling, so sounds are clearly audible in the bedroom and on the first floor. There are also no curtains in the bedroom, and the windows face the sunrise. Therefore, the bedroom is very bright from 6:00 AM. Outside sounds are very audible inside the house. Ships arrive at the port below the mountain until midnight, and an announcer makes loud announcements. The announcer also begins making announcements at 7:00 AM. The house is located near a forest, so small lizards and other animals scurry across the roof at night, making it very audible and disturbing sleep. In the morning, birds regularly sing loudly right next to the window. If you decide to spend the night here, I recommend bringing earplugs and a sleep mask.

Positive: Absolutely loved our stay at this villa. We had the entire place to ourselves, which made it feel like our own private paradise. The views were absolutely spectacular—lush greenery all around and even a few cheeky monkeys passing through! The pool was perfect for cooling off, and we spent so much time just relaxing on the verandah, enjoying the cool breeze. The location was spot on too - high overlooking the town.

Negative: We liked the short hike up the hill, but it may be inaccessible to some people due to the steep incline.

Positive: Truly an amazing experience! Ratih (the host) was great and was happy to help us with everything like taxi, food etc 🤗 We felt very safe and taken care of because of her. The place is very private with a stunning view of Padang Bai but the taxi is needed to take you to the top as getting there with baggage is hard. The place makes up for it 100% as it is really a gem in Padang Bai. We cant want to come back here!

Positive: The view, the spacious house, the open concept, the location :) It is pretty uphill (hence the view) so I would recommend a scooter / taxi to get there unless you travel light. The host were very sweet, the pool is great to watch sunrise and sunset or just sunbathe. The ferry is super close too. I would definitely recommend staying there !

My second visit as I just love the tranquility of this location, the million dollar views, the amazing scenery, the beautiful pool, sunsets and sunrises plus the delicious organic fruit grown on the property. Ratih is extremely friendly and goes out of her way to be a “Super Host”. I have travelled around Bali many times and the beds at Yoga Bale House 1 and 2 are by far the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced.

Positive: Very basic but spacious house, with a large bedroom, comfortable bed, and above all beautiful views. In the busy port town it is a gem. I encourage you to order food, local and very tasty.

Negative: Steep climb, but worth it for the views. Just 5 min from the town.

Positive: View was amazing. Ratih was very helpful organising a driver and food, and suggestions for local restaurants that would deliver to Yoga Balé. We booked this place because it was affordable, it had an amazing view, and it was within walking distance to White Sand Beach (need medium fitness ), which is BEAUTIFUL and not busy. We were not expecting 5 star accomodation - don't think you're getting ritzy comfort at this price, but it was great for us (family and dogs). Loved that this was owned by a local family. There is also a lovely old farming couple that live behind the house, and it felt safe knowing they were there. The house doesn't have a fence so be mindful of this if you have dogs. The hammocks were great to enjoy. We watched the sunrise every morning and loved it but if you don't want to wake up early, be aware that the place we stayed in had no curtains, so sleeping in might not be an option with kids and dogs!

Negative: The driveway was VERY steep and felt long (when walking back after a day snorkeling and beaching). This needs to be in the description so people booking can make sure they have a car that can manage this, or a driver that is willing to get to the top. The pool could have been a bit cleaner. The pullout sofa bed is fine for kids - not so comfortable for an adult. There were no curtains - if you don't like early starts, be aware of this.

Summary: Amazing views! Super host! The steep long driveway was tricky. House was as expected for the price.
