Positive: The kids had a blast sleeping on a boat—it felt like a mini adventure, and the view of Oslo’s suburban marina was delightfully peaceful. Our host was incredibly patient, waiting for us when we missed the bus stop.

Negative: The boat felt more like a cluttered storage space than a cozy retreat—random items were scattered everywhere, and a thorough, regular cleaning clearly hasn’t been done in a while. A persistent “boat smell” lingered so badly that we had to wash our clothes twice to get it out. On top of that, only one of the beds was firm enough for anyone over 175 cm to sleep comfortably; the others sagged so much they’d leave taller guests tossing and turning all night. With a deep clean, removal of unnecessary items and some sturdier bedding, this place could easily feel welcoming instead of half-finished.

Positive: The owner was very responsive. There was a place for me to park and take a bus downtown. It was still off season so pier was dead silent. It is as advertised, a comfy little nook to sleep in and have a quiet evening in fresh air. Also enjoyed the slight rocking during sleep.
