What about a seafront suite that has a view of the Oslo Fiord, the islands surrounding Oslo, the city itself, and the famous Holmenkollen ski jump? From which you can step out on the balcony to enjoy a sundowner? Or venture into the garden and dip into the Oslo fiord in the summer season?
We are lucky enough to live in this great spot, right on the water, inside the city of Oslo, only 12 minutes by bus or car from the new Oslo Operahouse and the rest of the downtown area. We are happy to share this space with others, and rent out a suite on the house's first floor. The entire floor is at your disposal, and contains,
- a sitting room with a sleeper sofa,
- two bedrooms,
- a bath and
- a toilet.
Your sitting room is 20 square meters and furnished with a sofa, a sleeper sofa, a table and two chairs; a TV and DVD player; loudspeakers; and a refrigerator, microwave oven, waterboiler and coffee maker.
From the sitting room there is direct access to a private balcony.
There are two bedrooms (one large and one smaller), each with comfortable double beds.
There is a separate toilet and bathroom, the latter fitted with a bath tub. Fresh towels are provided.
The place is ideal for one, two, three or four persons. If there is a fifth person, the sitting room is equipped with a sleeper sofa.
Free wireless internet.
Excellent opportunities for walking, jogging, running and fishing close to the house.
A full Norwegian breakfast can be served (NOK 100 pp). If you wish, we can also take care of your laundry for a small fee.
We speak the three Scandinavian languages + English, German, Spanish and Swahili.
Our guests have access to our beautiful garden and the deck by the fjord.

Summary: This was an absolutely amazing place to stay. The property was gorgeous, the views and access to the fjord were perfect. A very comfortable setup, everything from the bathroom to the bedrooms to the living area and kitchen were all top notch. The bus literally stops right outside the entrance to the property, super convenient. Hosts provided plenty of towels and other staples as well as water shoes for dips into the fjord. It had somewhat of a bed & breakfast feel in that the hosts were onsite and provided turn down service while we were out (which was somewhat unexpected, but still pleasant). If your top concern is privacy, this may not be the best spot for you. However, if you enjoy interacting with hosts (who are wonderfully polite and charming) this is the perfect spot for a visit to Oslo. Seriously, you can't truly understand how amazing the view is until you stay here.

Summary: Very nice apartment. Well-kept, beautifully and practically furnished. Direct access to the fjord. Friendly hosts. Free parking in side street directly opposite. Small drawback: busy road nearby. All in all, it was a relaxing stay.

Summary: Our stay in Oslo was our 8th and final stop, and easily raced to the top of our favorites! It is hard to say what we liked the most--the view, the accommodations, the hosts and their thoughtful touches, or the reprieve from the hustle/bustle of Oslo's city center. While the location was too far to walk to the city center (and mind you, we were clocking 6-10 miles a day in other cities!), the bus couldn't have been quicker or more convenient. Oslo was an amazing city to explore, but there was nothing like returning "home" to enjoy our welcomed and remarkable view of the fjord!

Summary: We felt very well in your apartment. The rooms are furnished tastefully and suitable. The stunning view from the balcony and the jetty with access to the Oslo fjord made an excellent and unsurpassable impression on us.
