Positive: The property is a beautiful little safe haven with Hereford just 15 mins down the road. Being able to wake up with nothing but sounds of nature was one of my favourite parts and watching the deer and local wildlife play just outside the window was a joy. The expansive bookcases of DVDs and books had us entertained with some classics we had forgotten about, we could have been rained in and not been bored for days! The walks all around the area are lovely and we travelled to go to Puzzlewood forest and the Forest of Dean which was about 40 mins away. The hosts are lovely and friendly. If we needed anything they were easily contactable and the welcome book had all the information you could need (instruction manuals for appliances included!). We will be back as there is so much to explore around the area and it was lovely to feel like we had disappeared into a little woodland escape even for a weekend.

Positive: The location is great. A private gate at the side of the cottage took us on a lovely evening walk through Haugh Wood. The grass area in front of the cottage is often frequented by deer and we captured some lovely videos. We had a great cycle ride to the Scrumpy House cafe and after we returned we then drove back to tour the cider factory. Well worth a visit. On our second day we walked round Queenswood Country Park and then to nearby Bodenham Lakes where we sat in a hide watching herons, cormorants, crested grebes and lots more birds. We'll definitely be returning.
