Summary: We had such a great time at Sharon's property! A few friends and I stayed for a horse show at Fair Hill, and the proximity and comfort of this house is unbeatable! We're hoping to come back soon :)

Summary: Our family stayed here from Friday to Sunday. This is our fourth visit to Appleton retreat. Sharon is super communicative. The house is well-appointed, clean, and close to everywhere we needed to go. We enjoyed checking out one of the covered bridges close by and Apple cider donuts, and Cherry picking at Millburn‘s. Can’t wait to return again!

Summary: Just minutes from Newark and UDel; the property is secluded (while being on a busy road, and very close to a great Mexican restaurant. We stayed here as a family to attend our daughter's graduation from UDel and it was perfect to keep us out of the crowds but close to all that we needed to do. The rooms are nicely appointed, everything is updated (some great, exceptionally quiet ceiling fans), and the host was great. Will stay again for future homecomings and events.

Summary: Property was clean, well stocked, comfortable beds, plenty of linens and pillows. Had our two grandchildren with us for my wife's family reunion in Elkton. Much better than any hotel. Highly recommend.

Summary: We could not have asked for a better place to stay while visiting our grandchildren. The house gave us plenty of room to enjoy the grands and make many memories..so much better than a hotel! The house had all the comforts of home and is beautifully decorated. Highly recommend if you are looking for a place to stay in the area.

Summary: Great property. Very clean and comfortable. Owner thought of everything to make the house feel like home. Our family stayed for a weekend and attended a wedding close by. Nice to come back to the house and hang out all together!! Would definitely stay here again!

Summary: We are two couples that have frequently traveled together and stayed in VBRO homes. This stay exceeded all of our expectations. Clean, well stocked and organized kitchen, comfortable beds and living room. Had it been a bit warmer we would have availed ourselves of the fire pit. We were visiting dear friends in the area and were able to have a great visit. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Summary: We had a very good stay in a very comfortable and pleasantly decorated house for Christmas. We were able to cook French-style festive meals because the kitchen was very well equipped. We took advantage of the calm of the environment but the house was a good starting point for many visits. Thanks to Sharon first allowed our family to get together to celebrate Christmas!
