Positive: Very good communication with the owner .Lodge its really nice, comfy,.full supply. We had a very relaxing time and very beautiful moments, especially since we spent our anniversary there. With all my heart we recommend.

Positive: The lodge was lovely. The net book nook was amazing. Bonus points for having an enclosed space outside so my 5 yr old daughter could play without escaping to the pond. She loved the ducks, saw spring lambs and watched tractors working away. The small bottle of milk in the fridge was just perfect since I forgot milk.

Negative: A bit of signage would be great. I dont know the area so getting there was a wild stab in the dark. Stairs up to bed are really steep so if your not good with stairs id give the heron lodge a miss. Honestly thats about the only bad thing.

Positive: We very much enjoyed our mid- winter stay. The lodge was lovely and warm despite frost and heavy snow. The lodge was very nicely decorated and had a lot of character. The site is very close to an RSPB reserve, and we loved seeing huge flocks of wintering geese flying over. The resident ducks were also very cute! The check in procedure was simple with the key being left in a box with an access code received before arrival.

Negative: The lodge was small with no room for a proper table for eating, but this was a minor issue - we ate on the couch.

Positive: It was peaceful cosy and had everything you would need, would happily book again

Negative: The microwave is in a cupboard and floor level , not ideal, although there didn’t seem anywhere else to put it
