Positive: - Brilliant location with amazing views from all windows. - Lovely to sit with a cup of tea/glass of wine by the back door and watch the world drift by - Very cosy living room with a fire and plentiful firewood - we felt very snug in the evenings listening to the wind howling outside - Comfortable beds and complete silence meant we slept very well - Plenty of space for a family of four - Great walk over Stickle Pike to the Blacksmith's Arms in Broughton Mills - Easy to get to other areas in Lakes - Phil the host is responsive - Photographs show exactly what the property is like

Negative: - As mentioned in previous posts - easier access to the washing machine would have been convenient. We hadn't intended on doing any washing during our stay - but we found we hadn't brought enough socks! Acces was quickly and easily resolved.

Summary: Fabulous stay in a great, quiet off the beaten track area

Positive: We had fantastic holiday in this off the beaten track Lake District cottage! The cottage is beautiful, comfortable with everything you need. Phil is available if needed but very private. Good beds, good size for four. Location is amazing with walks and wild swimming on the doorsteps. The views are amazing from every rooms. Not too far either for shopping, beach and pubs… we will be back! Very clean. Good quality equipment including bbq, pizza oven etc!

Negative: Nothing really. The road takes some getting used to but not too bad! Could do with slightly more cutlery so no need to put dishwasher on every day!

Summary: Amazing location and cottage with views all around!
