Whippoorwill Retreat at Raystown Lake is located among hundreds of acres of mature Oak Forest open for you to explore at your leisure. The newly constructed 2300 sq ft. 3 bedroom, 3 bath retreat features a large great room with 20 ft vaulted ceilings, beamed kitchen, open loft with additional sleeper, wrap around porch, screen porch, and open deck. The retreat consists of a basement complete with pool table, a large main floor living area, and a cozy loft. This newly constructed home was first available for rent in 2014. We were fortunate to have many wonderful guests in our first year, and look forward to another great year. Solitude is guaranteed, as your nearest neighbor is over 1/2 a mile away. Whippoorwill Retreat offers quick and easy access to Raystown Lake, with the closest launch only 10 minutes away. The retreat is also less than 10 minutes from the lake overlook and the exciting Raystown Resort and marina.
Come and stay, and maybe you will be lucky enough to hear the lonesome call of the Whippoorwills as you sit by the open brick fire ring, or on the spacious screen porch, for a quiet and relaxing evening.

Summary: Myself & my family stayed @ Whippoorwill @ the end of Dec. The property & location were phenomenal! Loved the seclusion! Saw very few cars! We had a wonderful time. The owners were gracious & allowed us an early check in @ late check out which we greatly appt appreciated.

Summary: Both the house and location were perfect for our quick family get-away to the lake. The open plan kitchen/dining/living room allowed us to gather and visit, prep meals, play games and watch tv while still interacting. The beds were comfy, house was clean. Excellent firepit, room for all of us to sit. The S’mores kit was greatly appreciated and quickly devoured. The house was convenient to Seven Points Marina where pontoon rental was easy. Should we return to Raystown we will book Whippoorwill again.
