Positive: Dedicated parking was important to us and we were so grateful for that every evening. The kitchen was well appointed, real dining space, very comfortable rooms, the living room was cozy. Didnt use the back patio much, but my husband enjoyed the screened-in side porch in the morning. Wifi works. We had our laptop at the bar area in the kitchen.

Negative: This is a Unit A, there is a long term tenant downstairs. There is a note sent to you on the first day of your stay to take your shoes off. We tried to be respectful. The biggest issue was NO Washer and Dryer! I honestly did not notice as I assumed that would come with the space, that was my fault. I will have to look more closely next time. Researching Laundromats, driving to a Laundromat and spending time at a Laundromat is not my idea of a vacation.

Summary: Great little space to stay, plan ahead.

Positive: Very cute and comfortable home. My only concern was because we have allergies; there too many carpets, and over-stuffed pillows.

Negative: Too many carpets and overstuffed pillows fir us because of allergies. 🙂

Positive: THE HOST - THE HOST - THE HOST - BAR NONE - One of the best I've ever encountered. Superb communication before, during, and after departure - VERY attentive. Also, the property was spacious, beautifully designed, and very, very cozy. A very beautiful home that was beyond well-equipped with EVERYTHING that you need - even the cozy socks! And the location was fantastic. Very close to stores (i.e. Walmart) and for out-of-towners, not far at all from DC's main attractions! HIGHLY recommend! So much so, and I may even do another stay at this property. Oh...and the artwork was beautiful! Fantastic experience!

Negative: Bait - and - switch (and NOT the fault of the property owner). The property is listed as an entire home but it's actually more of a duplex. There are 2 rental units on the property (main floor and second floor is one listing; lower level floor is another listing). This should be indicated within the description of the "entire home" listing (which may have been updated). While the property mgmt site is very well described, booking.com is NOT... which is where I booked. After repeated attempts for resolution, I ended up renting both units in order to have the entire property. The description is key and words such as "unit A" and/or "unit B" would clearly let the potential guest know that it is clearly more than one unit to be rented. Booking - I would highly recommend that your description be more detailed. Unfortunately, I did not become aware of the split rentals until AFTER I booked and was told that I could not get a refund. ALSO, although the listings are more descriptive on the management's site, they had the units switched around such that, when I received my confirmation email from the property mgmt company, it indicated that I rented the lower level (which was the key words that triggered more investigation). However, what I booked (via Booking.com) was for the entire house (the entire house in this case would be the top 2 levels of the home). This error was later fixed by the property mgmt, but I was still informed that although it was an error, I would not be offered a refund or cancellation ability (although I didn't want to cancel). I even asked if a discount could be offered because of the misrepresentations that were imposed on me, and was told no. Again, this has nothing at all to do with the owner of the property as she was unaware of the misinformation herself. And although it was a hassle getting everything in order, I had one of the most amazing stays that I've ever had with any of my past rentals.
