We would love to share this magical space with you! Located in Sunshine Bay, just 40 minutes outside of Nelson BC. in the heart of a small beautiful community. We offer a separate downstairs suite that includes 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom a full kitchen and washer & dryer for your needs. Our guests love our peaceful and abundant gardens that provide privacy, sending you straight into relaxation mode.
The small dock on the lily pond is the perfect spot for your morning yoga flow followed by a rinse in the outdoor cedar shower while the birds sing.
Take a stroll through the flower and vegetable gardens where we grow much of our produce during the spring and summer months.
Walk down to Sunshine Bay Beach just two minutes away for a famous Kootenay Lake sunset and swim or hit up the Village Bakery for a delicious pizza and baked goods.
Whitewater ski resort is an hour drive from The Poppy Inn. We’ve got you covered for your aprés hot tub and in floor heat to keep you warm and cozy.

Summary: This beautiful place was just what we needed. Close enough to easily visit Nelson but with the perfect location to enjoy the peacefulness of the countryside and surrounding communities. Spectacular garden, privacy and nature at our doorstep. Felt safe and genuinely rested. Ofer was a lovely host who treated us to the best coffee, the cats were adorable, and the suite was perfect and inviting. Thoughtfully decorated and comfortable. Such a special place. Would be a pleasure to return.

Summary: Gorgeous garden and home. Super friendly hosts. So relaxing and peaceful. Ofar’s property exceeded my expectations. Huge garden and lawns to relax in and enjoy the quiet. We loved the outdoor shower and pond just outside our front door. Already booked another stay !

Summary: The Poppy Inn is such beautiful and peaceful setting in the countryside. We spent three days enjoying the unique setting, amazing flowers and trees, bubbling stream and a gorgeous surrounding. Our accommodations were perfect; air conditioned unit, two spacious bedrooms, full kitchen and comfortable living room. Thank you to our hosts for making us feel at home.
