Summary: At a time where people are starting to stray away from vacation rentals, I’m very glad we decided to stay here! The listing was accurate, everything from pictures of the unit to the safe neighborhood.Some basement apartment rentals are dark and stuffy, but this was the complete opposite experience for us. There was so much light to be let in the space, and the additional private outdoor patio is such a nice touch. This location is very central. It gave the convenience of being close to major highways without staying downtown. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, and we couldn’t ask for more. If ever I find myself in Portland again, I would book this place a thousand times over. I cannot recommend this stay enough.

Summary: Hands down the nicest place I've ever had the opportunity of booking. The place isn't as pictured and described...it's BETTER. I had wonderful communication from the hosts, and when I got there, the check in process was super smooth and easy. The place was immaculately clean. It's in such a nice quiet neighborhood with no street noise whatsoever, but still so close to everything. There is normal house noise from the water heater and during the day you can hear the residence, but nothing you wouldn't expect from any household. I can't say enough good things about my stay. I was bummed to leave after my weekend of curling, and I will for sure look to book this place anytime I need a spot in the Portland area. Thank you so much Jon and Whitney for providing such a wonderful vacation rental. You have gone above and beyond with attention to detail, cleanliness, and hospitality.

Summary: All windows are totally sealed up so there is no ability to have fresh air unless you sleep with the door open. Also, owners have control of the thermostat so you have to call if you need it adjusted. We did not end up staying there (though paid the first night) because of this issue.
