The spectacular Seal house sits right on the water in Dittisham near Dartmouth. Offering architect designed accommodation for up to 7, our guests enjoy spacious open plan living, an Indoor pool and wooden hot tub with panoramic views of the River Dart. Large lawned gardens lead to the waters edge and a little rowing boat for guests use. Dittisham has 2 pubs and post office within easy walking distance.

Walkthrough...
Arriving from Lower Street through private gates we have space for up to 6 cars on the private driveway.
You enter the property into a spacious hallway there's ample space to leave coats and shoes.
Continue on and there's a huge open plan living area featuring a lounge with comfy seating and wood burning stove. There's also a fantastic kitchen facing out to the water with granite top, breakfast bar and everything you need for your holiday. There's dual Miele Ovens and an American style fridge freezer.
When the weather is good the house offers full indoor/outdoor living thanks to the 3 paneled sliding windows leading out to the expansive decked area.
The whole family can fit around the large dining table with bench seating and we provide a high chair for little ones.
Off this area at one end is the private Master suite with en suite bathroom with stunning freestanding bath, separate shower area, walk in wardrobe and king size bed and separate access to the deck.
To the other end of the living area is the Snug/TV room. There are another 2 sofas and a desk for remote working.
This leads to the second bedroom. A king size room with en suite bathroom.
There are two further bedrooms, one with twin beds and the other with a single bed. They also share a bathroom. Accessible for guests who use wheelchairs, canes, or other mobility aids.
The garden is expansive and leads down the waters edge. There is a gate at the bottom to stop children being able to access the dock.

Summary: We stayed at Seal House for a long weekend with family to celebrate a birthday. Ages ranged from two and a half to seventy. We all had a wonderful time, we very much enjoyed the lovely pool and hot tub. The kids loved the playroom, the adults loved the view. Communication with the manager was very easy and helpful, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property.

Summary: We had a perfect calm, quiet and much needed break after a busy christmas period. The house is beautiful, watching the ebb and flow of the tide on the Dart was just the tonic we needed. It's also perfect for kids, the pool was (obviously!) great entertainment for them, as was the separate playroom, which had lots of toys from the residents that were available to use. The village of Dittisham is lovely, the Ferry boat pub a nice meandering walk through the village, with the closer pub doubling up as a local shop, which was particularly handy for things we'd forgotten. If you're thinking about booking, do it. You won't be disappointed. Thanks for a lovely stay

Summary: We had a lovely time at Seal House, the location was perfect with plenty for the children to do whilst there. The swimming pool was lovely and the house was perfect for a large family to spend quality time. Checking in was very easy with instructions given before arrival. The only thing that could have been better was the condition of the bathrooms on arrival as we had to unblock the main shower on first use. One other shower was stuck on hot as the dial not working but overal we couldnt really fault the house.

Summary: The house, the area, the people of Dittisham, first class. Seal House met all expectations, it is beautiful and in an idyllic setting. The view from the terrace is breathtaking. It is evident throughout the house that the owners have put a lot of thought into it filling it with gorgeous furniture and fittings. We loved, the pool, the terrace with the fire pit, and the lounge with the wood burner. Comfy seating, nice to sit back with friends and or family. Thank you for sharing your house with us.

Summary: This is a magnificent location and the views from the house and also the decking over the river dart are breathtaking. We gambled with the weather by booking in May. But the indoor pool and hot tub came into their own when the weather didn’t play nicely!! The village itself is lovely, but beware of those Devon hills especially when walking anywhere in the village.
