Summary: We had a perfect stay in this house. The location is wonderful, the house is excellent equipped and the garden is very nice. In the description was not mentioned that it is a shared garden, so it is not a private garden.

Summary: Our family really enjoyed this property, which is situated in a perfect location just steps away from a beautiful white sandy beach. There are also a handful of restaurants and a bakery within easy reach. The nearby beach was busy but not overly crowded in the middle of July. The maisonette is adjoined by an identical apartment but we hardly noticed our neighbours. The backyard leading to the sea is extensive and well kept. On the downside the proprietor maintains a strict 9am check out policy, which combined with a very demanding guest cleaning requirement makes for a somewhat stressful last day. It is puzzling why guests are required to clean the place top to bottom (everything from toilets, showers, sinks, nothing in dishwasher etc.) when also having to pay for a cleaning. The requirement to pay extra for basics like sheets on the bed seemed odd as well. Other points to note: the mosquitoes are bad at night and some may find the parking, which requires backing in, tight.

Summary: We have exhausted superlatives in our stay at this amazing place. It's impossible to imagine a more celestial location, with a kinder and more thoughtful owner. You barely need to drive anywhere as there's so much to do. We snorkeled every morning (seeing at various times Moray eel, octopus, baby swordfish, rainbow wrasse and shoals of silvery bream) and then strolled along the beach to buy baguette and croissants. The coastal walk to the tower is beautiful, and we kayaked to the island of Pinarellu twice for more snorkeling, picnicking and diving off rocks. As for the house, it's perfectly equipped, so peaceful and the garden is a dream. We sat drinking our prosecco and looking at the sea on many evenings. We can't recommend the place highly enough, but just please don't book it when we want to go next! We will definitely be back.

Summary: We enjoyed our vacation in October 2018 very much, nice house with everything you need, terraces, garden and you just walk out the backyard to the wonderful beaches! Not crowded at all and crystal clear water. Good for kids because shallow to walk in. You need a car to get to the close by village to shop, not far from Porto-Vecchio and a 45 minute drive to the Figari airport. We absolutely recommend! Thank you Maryse for having us!

Summary: We spent a very enjoyable two weeks at Mare e Luna. The house itself is equipped to a high standard (wi-fi, dishwasher, washing machine, DVD player, radio, oven, microwave, air conditioning, BBQ, coffee machine, toaster) and decorated tastefully in warm colours. Everything was spotless on our arrival, and we were met by Mr. Carli who showed us to the house. The terrace is spacious, making it possible to spend time in the shade, while enjoying the sensational view of the garden towards the sea. The house has everything one requires for a comfortable, relaxing holiday. For us the only slight negative was having to clean the house ourselves at the end of our stay. We would have liked the option of paying for the house to be cleaned by a third party. The location of the house is second to none. Set in a beautifully kept garden offering plenty of space for children to play (our sons had more than enough space to play football), the beach is just a few steps away. The property consists of two identical halves which share the garden. However, as the two halves are set back from each other, there is plenty of privacy. The short walk along the beach to the bakers and to a selection of (somewhat touristy) restaurants and bars is enjoyable. The nearest supermarket is in Ste Lucie de Porto Vecchio and the next bigger one is on the outskirts of Porto Vecchio. The immediate area itself offers plenty of attractions: the inland mountain ranges, canoeing and boat hire (directly in front of the house), the rivers with their natural pools, Bonifaccio with its impressive coastline …… We can thoroughly recommend staying at Mare e Luna
