2025 Update: We saw Pelicans for the first time this year as they were passing through! We also have a pair of eagles roosting nearby.
Eco-Tourism in West Michigan! Enjoy 1200' of Private Frontage on minimally populated Grass Lake adjacent to hundreds of acres of State Land. Wildlife abounds on land and in the water. Migratory birds stop to rest awhile in spring and fall. Loons, ducks, cranes and a variety of 'backyard' birds nest nearby and are seen most days throughout the summer on the water and at the feeders. Our resident chipmunk may entertain you with his antics by day, and the deer often come down to the water in the evening. Raccoons, possum and muskrats are also common visitors.
This fully-stocked home with antique decor, table & board games, yard games, firepit area, charcoal BBQ, boats & old-fashioned bicycles encourages you to "un-plug" , retreat, relax and recharge! Although we do provide wireless internet and a smart TV, we hope you won't have the desire to use them.

Summary: Peaceful little house on a peaceful little lake. We saw loons, cranes, eagles, swans, frogs, and turtles daily. We went out on the little peddle boat to fish and caught numerous pike, crappie, and sunfish. Mostly pike, which was new to us. The house is right on the lake. Many thoughtful touches like seasonings, condiments, toiletries in the shower. The host is very helpful. The first night had storms which knocked out the power. She has a whole house generator on a propane tank that turns on and off by itself. Just a few neighbors and Greenville is15 minutes away for groceries and restaurants.

Summary: The best host we’ve ever had in renting more than 25 VRBOs. She has no limits to what she will do to ensure a wonderful stay at her beautiful cottage. The lake is habitated by many species of birds, including Loons and Sandhills Cranes. Total serenity in a very peaceful setting. Can’t more highly recommend. We will be returning next year.

Summary: Very quiet and natural area. Especially enjoyed watching a pair of loons with their tiny baby. With patience and persistence much more wildlife can be seen but you can't miss the frog chorus. Sarah has thought of everything with great attention to detail. Really enjoyed the antique furnishings. Hope we can return in the spring or fall.

Summary: Cute and cozy. The view is great from the house, all you see is the lake, trees and some wildlife. Very quiet, beds are comfy and the host provided everything we needed and then some.

Summary: Off the beaten path but not far from town, it was very peaceful and relaxing. We caught many Northern Pike from the lake and the home was comfortable and had everything we needed during our visit. Would definitely stay again!
