2 Bedroom Cabin in Onalaska

Beautiful pine interior, log siding exterior, waterfront cabin with wonderful comforts, knotty pine interior, hickory kitchen cabinets, granite countertops, lake views, sunsets over the water, nature watching, 3 piers, boat launch, fishing, boating, canoe, kayaks, wildlife, and charming towns close by. Walk out your door right to the lake, pier, cable TV, WiFi.
2.5 acres, lots of trees and lots of green grassy areas, boat launch, 3 piers, boat slips, fishing area, night lites, fish cleaning station. Lake is the 23+ mile long Lake Livingston.
We also offer;
> small craft rentals at $35/day per kayak, canoe, peddle, &/or row boat.
> Jon boat w/trolling motor, 2 batteries, paddle and life vests at $50 for 4 hours, $10 (for each additional hour), or all day $75.
> pontoon boat rental w/ captain for touring, fishing trip, and or family fun with swimming & pull toys at $150 minimum, approx 2 hours, on up to max 4 people for fishing trip, and 8 for touring.

Cabin has double wood siding interior & exterior that keeps it quiet inside, good people & rules make it great, or we help enforce quiet time rules. FM 356 traffic is normally quiet at night but can have some traffic noise during day.
Also not in cabins and or not normally any nuisance to people, but guests should be aware that we are on a natural lake and there can be in wetlands area across the street or in brush snakes, spiders, snapper turtles, alligator across the bridge, hawks, eagles, raccoons, etc. No real danger but occasionally for a couple days usually in spring or early summer, mom alligator will come and drop off a baby alligator off every couple years, stats with it a couple days then leaves. Baby tends to be about 3’ to max 3.5’ when this happens, is too small to be issue, can still only eat max size bullfrogs, kind of fun to watch, but then normally leaves as well within a few weeks cuz too much activity from us. Parks & Wildlife and licensed trappers both said to leave them alone when this small, just do what we do because most the little one can do is eat bullfrog and will leave to find different home if we keep up our activities. And after 8 years we see this is correct.

Summary: Cabin very close to major, noisy highway. Front door had only a knob lock, no dead bolt. Brought our dog who loves the water, that part of Lake Livingston not very clean, she had a ton of stickers in her fur after swimming, FYI. Workers began working on cabin next door with electric saws, hammers, etc. at 7:30am, very noisy. On the plus side the AC worked well and cabin had everything you need, plates, utensils, soap, paper products, spices. Host very nice, we left early, they gave us a partial refund.

Summary: Nice property. Manager wonderful, met needs, helpful, friendly and made the place a community feel. Cabin well stocked, more than other places. Close to the town which was good. Didn't realize that it would be fairly near the road and cabins close together but not a problem sleeping or sitting on the deck. Friendliness would make me go back again!!
