Within two minutes by car (or a 15 walk) you are at the best Tacoma has to offer: restaurants, coffee shops, stores, grocery store, the Ruston Way waterfront walking path, the Tacoma Little Theater, downtown, the convention center, hospital, and the Movie Theaters.
Slightly further and you are the Museums of Glass, the Tacoma Art Museum, the Washington State History Museum, the universities (UPS & UW), the Rialto and Pantages Theaters, and Point Defiance Park, Zoo and Aquarium.
Seattle is 45 minutes north on 1-5.
Portland is 2.5 hours south.
Mt Rainier National Park is 2 hours away.
Olympia National Park is 2.5 hour drive.
There is a front parking lot and a rear parking lot. You can use either but your check-in instructions will indicate which parking lot is better for your condo. Use any space. Ignore the Tow-away signs.

Summary: We just spent a month in this lovely condo as we looked for a new home in the PNW. Ron is a wonderful responsive host and made our stay comfortable and cozy. The neighborhood is one of the nicest in Tacoma--close to everything and easy access to I-5. The beautiful view of commencement bay is so soothing after a day of house hunting! And the kitchen has everything any cook good need. We feel lucky to have stayed there.

Summary: Condo is in an older building but is very well maintained. It is surrounded by $1M+ homes and the neighborhood is very safe. There are several local restaurants within walking distance as well as a grocery within a 5 min drive. It is super close to all that’s good in Tacoma as well as being close to I5. The best part about staying at the condo was my morning coffee with the stunning view!

Summary: This is the second time I have stayed at Elmwood. The view of the Bay is fantastic and a perfect location. The neighborhood is beautiful and great for walking. The condo is very comfortable and I had everything I needed for a 10 day stay. I highly recommend it and I will be staying here again on my next trip to Tacoma.
