Our true log cabin is located on the sought-after north end of Lake Keowee--the Crown Jewel of South Carolina lakes. Build by the owner and his family, this retreat is the perfect place to escape the stresses of everyday life and completely unplug. But don't worry about being too unplugged... all the conveniences of modern life are still at your fingertips!
From the granite kitchen with stainless appliances to the flat-screen TVs and direct tv, home can be as close or far away as you want it to be. Our cabin is located on still canoe water, only a few paddles from the big water. Ideally suited to those who love to canoe or stand up paddleboard (both of which are provided--along with two kayaks), you can access the dock by way of a medium-sized motorized boat as well. You can park and bring your boat into our private dock, or park it at the marina, located just around the corner. Alternatively, reach out regarding the use of our luxury tri-toon...
Whatever you choose, there is a boating option for you. Oh, and fishing -- the water at the dock is perfect for casting your rod -- a big bass is often seen right nearby!
The tastefully decorated home has a woodland theme -- when you walk in the entrance and look straight through to the view, you'd swear you are in a treehouse! And, you might encounter a bear or two! Choose from a master on the main with private bath and log frame furniture. The second floor boasts a queen room and a "kids" room that sleeps 6 with single bunk beds and a queen bed. Both share a hall bath. The 4th sleeping area is in the lower level with a beautiful view of the trees and a peek at the lake.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay here at this BEAUTIFUL cabin and property!!! The owners were freakin AWESOME!!!! They stayed in touch and communicated so well with us!!! We rented their pontoon (BEAUTIFUL BOAT)!! The cabin and property were very clean and beautiful!! We will most definitely be back!!!!!

Summary: We had the best time staying in this gorgeous home. Super relaxing, super clean, very comfy beds, stocked kitchen and excellent communication with hosts. We also rented the boat and had the best day! The boat is amazing and very convenient to the house. I can not say enough good things about this trip! Big thanks to the host for an amazing trip. Summary: Very limited view of lake, very steep incline to water, unsteady ground, a bath downstairs is needed if you have 10 people Porch was enjoyable and cabin is nicely played out. Kitchen needs updated with regards to appliances

Summary: My family of 9 had an amazing time. We enjoyed swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking right off the dock. At night the kids all enjoyed playing pool and sitting out on the veranda. The steps to the lake were steep but would not be a problem for any healthy adult. The only negative for us would be getting stung by wasps several times.

Summary: Absolutely hands down the most wonderful vacation making memories! The Cabin is absolutely perfect with everything we could possibly need and more. Decorated to a perfect T with lots of space to spread out and perfect areas to gather together. Surrounded by nature-the lake, the woods, deer, even had a bear in the yard one afternoon, it is the perfect serene escape. We loved spending time on the lake, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, boating, looking at the stars from the deck and watching the fireflies light up our world. The cabin is stocked with everything we needed to create wonderful meals, play games and enjoy our family time. Karen, the host, is absolutely amazing!! She went above and beyond to make our stay perfect in every way. We found our forever vacation home and can not wait to come back!! Thank you Karen for sharing your fabulous cabin with us.

Summary: Great little neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay in this clean, well cared for home. We rented owners wonderful boat and especially enjoyed our time on the lake. The grands loved the old school arcade games and pool table.
