Positive: The hotel is high-class, right by the main square and the bridge, but in a very quiet location with a view of the river and jungle. We had an excellent room with a large balcony, very spacious and with all the amenities. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The price-quality ratio is good. There is a small pool, a bar. Highly recommended.

Negative: There were no glasses in the room to drink water. When asking for glasses, a deposit was required.

Positive: Fantastic views over the river. We stayed here for one night before heading into the Amazon rain forest. We watched the sunrise over the river which was stunning, we also loved looking at birds and wild life in the hotel and from the balcony. We saw a sloth down the road and some macaws too. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant too

Positive: The property was very comfortable with an on site restaurant and friendly staff. You are able to book day excursion, massages and Amazon tours from the hotel. We also got to spot a sloth and apparently they are quite common around the lodge. The pool was lovely and the cocktails were very reasonably priced. The limonada was the best one I had in Peru!

Negative: You can hear the people in the upstairs room if you are in a downstairs bungalow but this didn’t bother us as it wasn’t super noisy.

Positive: The location is amazing. I loved that it felt like I was in the middle of the jungle. The pool and pool area is lovely and clean. The rooms are spacious, and equipped with fridge, hangers, blankets, tv etc. The staff were great and helped me out with luggage, taxis, and storing my bags before and after check in/out times.

Negative: The rooms could have been cleaner. The bed and sheets were all pristine but the floors and corners were dusty and hadn’t been cleaned properly, understandably, these are wooden lodges in the jungle so it is to be expected but more attention could be paid. Also, my shower water did run cold.

Positive: The best stay on our trip by far. From checking in early because we arrived by overnight bus from Cuzco, through the friendly staff and clean amenities, to the beautiful wooden lodge rooms with views of the areal. We saw multiple sloths just hanging around in the area and a couple of monkeys passing by, all from our room window! We also recommend the Lake Sandoval trip, however we had bad luck with a fog on the parrot clay lick trip, so we didnt see much there. Also they let us stay in the areal after out check out, since we had again the overnight bus leaving at 7 pm and there was no problem staying there. And lastly they have a tasty restaurant called El Faro with tasty food and reasonable prices, as well as the amazing juices! The pool is worth it too on sunny tropical day. We really enjoyed our stay here, it was like a honeymoon phase on our backpacking journey through south america and the price is so affordable!

Positive: We liked the first room we had, which was a room in the big building, not the dark chalets. The a/c room we had was super clean and comfortable and had a nice balcony overlooking the river. Our second room was a dark wooden room which was nice and big with a big patio out front, but all the dark rooms are magnets for mosquitoes. So the light rooms in the big building are better imho. The staff was friendly and helped us with the room change, especially Stick. You can book day trips through the hotel and their restaurant El Faro is quite good.

Negative: Nothing that I haven't already mentioned.
