Positive: This was booked as an annual weekend away for my friend and I. We were fortunate to book a two bed lodge by the lake, with a private hot tub and decking. The parking for this particular lodge was just outside. It is spacious inside with an ensuite shower and separate bathroom. One double and one twin.

Negative: The interior in some areas is in need of maintenance and painting. One of the walls in the twin room was badly scraped. Paint had flaked from window sills and skirting boards. Walls and panelled walls showed wear and tear. The bedding wasn't the best quality nor the duvet or some of essentials. No ironing board is supplied. This is because quote " people don't tend to want to iron while they are away" Regardless if you'd planned to go out for the evening. An ironing board was eventually left on the decking, but with no iron. There was no one at reception. The lodge was left unlocked, with the key placed in the kitchen. We saw no staff during our stay. The decking is uneven in areas and sticks up. Had I waited and booked on the week we were going, it would have cost £80 more. The surroundings and hot tub are doing a lot of the heavy lifting to warrant the price.

Positive: We loved how it was gated off and the hot tub was at the back but private and enclosed everything was very clean

Negative: The only thing that they could have is a bigger pan, we noticed when cooking fajitas that the pan wasn’t big enough so had to cook 2 times and also could have had a few more toilet rolls

Positive: Great lodge, nice location. The hot tub area was nice and private, overlooking the lake was lovely. Had everything you would need

Negative: Although generally clean, there were a lot of cobwebs and bugs around the lodge, I appreciate it’s by a lake but it just needed a bit more of a clean

Negative: Double bed in Lodge 16 was very creaky and uncomfortable. Staff very quick to resolve the issue moving us to Lodge 14 which was greatly appreciated
