Located near the Village of Walloon (The Foot), we are one of the few properties located right on the water with sunset views, flat yard, and sand beach/lake bottom. Less than a mile from the Village of Walloon, we are located just 6 miles from Boyne City, 7 miles from Boyne Mountain Ski Resort and 9 miles from Petoskey (with nearby Boyne Highlands). This lake front cottage is a three season rental for for spring flowers, summer sun, and the fall color tour. Golf and wine tasting at any of these times!
This cottage is located on the Gold Coast of Walloon Lake's South Shore! All year long enjoy beautiful sunsets from the 20'x20' lake front deck. A large, flat, grassy yard with just steps to the sandy beach and sand bottom lake. Wonderful for children and adults alike! Bulmann dock with spacious sun deck and room to moor your boat! Includes sheltered garden area for windless sunning and a beautiful flower and herb garden for blooms and herbs all summer long!
The cottage features five bedrooms and three full bathrooms. Three bedrooms upstairs (two queen beds and a bunkie room for the kids with double bunks) share a full bath with original claw foot tub and updated shower. Master bedroom on the first floor has full en suite bath featuring walk in shower with grab bars and bench for seated bathing. Sitting area for morning coffee and lake view office just off the master as well!
Additional first floor bedroom features queen bed with full en suite bath with glass and tile shower.
Large living/dining area with oversized chairs and couch for family movie night. Double size sliders for the best lake views! Home offers cable tv and wi-fi. Outdoor dining for 10+ to catch those glorious sunsets nightly!
We are conventiently located less than a mile from the Village of Walloon, “The Foot”, which features a large family friendly park and public beach, General Store, Post Office, BarrelBack restaurant/bar, bakery, and shopping. Lake access to launch boats, Bear River canoe trips, rafting, and hiking along Bear River also available in the village.

Summary: What a fantastic cottage in the best (in our opinion) location on Walloon Lake—beautiful sunset views. The outdoor space is perfect, with a large deck, a big flat yard, and dock space for our pontoon rental. The bunk beds were small for the over 6'2" 23-year-olds in our crew (lol), but they would be great for kids. Jennifer was responsive and a lovely host! We hope to rent again soon!

Summary: Overall the accommodations were adequate for our needs. While the basic cottage was dated, it was very clean and kept çurrent with items like WiFi,cable TV and appliances. We occupied most of our time outside on the large deck and on the front lawn, which was spacious and accommodated our pick up games.

Summary: Lovely property in an ideal setting. Stunning sunsets and the wind rustling through the trees was so peaceful. The property was, in the words of college bound teens, “sooo cozy and charming”. Wow, those are teens saying that! They loved the comfy couch and oversized chairs. The master suite was very nice with a cozy fireside glow to fall asleep to. The kitchen was well equipped and met all our needs. We had 5 people staying and never once did we feel cramped. Would rent again and again for a timeless experience. Thank you, Jen for being a great host!!

Summary: This home has everything you need; it is very well stocked. We loved lounging on the front porch, dining outside, swimming and watching the sunset. We rented a pontoon to explore the lake. Went to Bill’s farm market in Petoskey and made use of the grill. The host was very helpful and responsive. The whole family would like to come back next year.

The home is very clean, well-maintained, and has the authentic "up north" feel of a family cottage. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time and will return as often as we can!

This home has a wonderful beach for young kids, excellent location on the lake and provides easy access to the best spots in northern Michigan. We loved it and truly enjoyed our stay.

Summary: Cozy cottage with plenty of room for 2 families and a set of grandparents. The lot was perfect for playing yard games and enjoying the beach! The kayak and paddle boards were wonderful to be able to use. Great location on our favorite lake! Jennifer was very easy to work with and quick to respond. We look forward to returning soon! Summary: Perfect house for our family of 10. Beautiful, clear lake with room for the boat was perfect for our group. With little ones really appreciated the shallow sandy beach access and the older ones appreciated the paddle boards and kayaks! Fabulous location with gorgeous sunset views. House was fully stocked with all the towels and kitchen implements we could ask for. Charming!
