Positive: Beautifully restored heritage buildings. Staff were attentive and helpful, had a very comfortable stay, wish it had been longer. Good home cooked food for both dinner and breakfast.
Negative: Minor point, but a small fridge would have been useful.

Positive: Amazing architecture and interior decor. So peaceful and tranquil next to some of the monuments.
Negative: Staff in the kitchen and dining were totally unprepared for the number of guests at the hotel. Being the only place with full meals in the vicinity, naturally ALL hotel guests go to the dining hall for meals. However, there isnt enough room to accommodate everyone and food service is extremely slow.
Summary: Fabulous stay and location albeit out of the way... but it was worth the trip.

Negative: 1. Cockroaches in the rooms 2. The AC is under powered and takes about 4 hours to cool the damn room! 3. Food was just about Ok.
Summary: Expected more for the money they charge you…… not bad is the best I can say.

Positive: Everything! This is an amazing building in a village which has 125 temples - it really needs to be seen to be believed. The property is a few minutes walk from the main attraction (the Durga temple) but is absolutely surrounded with other ancient sites dating to the Chalukya era - it’s right in front of the hill fort which is an easy climb to view the sunset. It’s near the other Chalukya places of interest at Pattadakkal and Badami. And this is certainly the most interesting hotel to stay in. Great food and it’s very clean. Staff really helpful.

Positive: Location next to the historical sites of Aihole and Pattadakal. Also the unusual design, style and ambience.
Negative: Need better plug points, pillows, a means to communicate if any problems are there(intercom or call bell), and WiFi. Also slight cleaning up of the entrance drive in.
