Positive: Such a beautiful spot tucked away in the vineyards. Would easily come back here on a less hot day to explore all the surrounding nature and stop by the local heurigen, and maybe throw something on the picturesque grill. The apartment was really comfy and clean, and quite large! Wish we had stayed longer. Definitely recommend, as long as you're sure which place you've booked. İf you're in Rothenhof, it's an incredibly beautiful 35-min walk to Durnstein through the vineyards (or a 3 min drive/quick bike ride).

Negative: Though everything was wonderful and we quite preferred this location set in a gorgeous vineyard, the owners should really consider making a separate listing for this property on Rothenhof. We originally booked with Wachau Living because it was pindropped off the main street in Durnstein. However, upon booking, it turns out there are many apartments in different buildings, and ours was two villages to the east! Because I've already been to this area, I knew exactly where the booking was and decided to keep it. But had it been a place unfamiliar to me, I would have felt like it was a bait and switch and probably canceled. I'm also someone who reads everything a booking owners sends, but I can imagine if others in our group had made the reservation we would have only realized the different address upon arrival and been very frustrated.

Summary: Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful - but know where you are booking!

Negative: No AC in the rooms which allows for insects to come in, out door disturbances at 6 am and parking not as described.

Positive: Beautiful terrace, quiet location in the middle of the vinyards. Facilities were good, everything you need for a short stay. Very friendly staff.

Negative: It was very hot that day and only one of the bedrooms had air condition. Unfortunately no fan or similar in the second bedroom.

Positive: There was a misunderstanding in our booking, but the host lady was very helpful and flexible, and solved it within few minutes and we got an even better accommodation. The apartment was spacious, comfortable, with nice garden and very romantic.
