Positive: I went to the house as I am an architect and read about the prize awarded design of an architect I know. I was not disappointed. Well, it is like in another world, not only is it in the proximity of the House of King Charles III but it reminded me of Zalan Valley and his house: cool in summer, and no internet (digital detox). The food is natural indeed and tasty. There is a lot to see in the village as well so it would have been better to stay one night more. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Although the houses are old, they can be used well also with limited mobility.
Negative: The food portions for the lunch are too big. An a la carte option would be better. The room had no table. Instead of a third bed, a table / or sitting option would be better.

Positive: This is quite an exceptional place to stay. There are a number of accommodation units around the courtyard and an attractive communal dining-area. Dinner is three courses and comes with a seemingly limitless amount of plum schnapps. The proprietress was very friendly. We had booked a double room but appear to have been 'upgraded' to stay in 'the house' (sleeps 4) by the entrance door and it was absolutely charming and cosy: very characterful but with a very modern bathroom. Opening the window onto the 'street' in the morning at sunrise and seeing the cows and goats coming out to graze on the verges was magical. In October the village is very quiet and the overnight stay was unforgettable. There is secure parking within the courtyard. We would happily return. Go while Viscri is unspoilt by tourism!

Positive: Very clean and comfortable room on the main road of the village. Restaurant has magnificent local food and the atmosphere is cosy, warm and welcoming.
