Positive: Located in the pretty Saxon town of Viscri this charming homestay was a lovely place to spend a night. Our host communicated via a translation app and soon had us settled in with a warm log fire. The delicious breakfast consisted of local produce and was a lovely way to start the day. The town is close to one of the best examples of a Fortified Church in Romania. Dinner can be had in a local restaurant and there is a lovely corner coffee shop.

Negative: It was difficult to find for first time travellers and you need to bring your own black tea.

Summary: A cosy stay in a traditional Saxon village.

Positive: A unique experience in a beautiful local house in beautiful Viscri. Raluca is a gentle host, and she did her best to keep us comfortable. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the room was very specious. The beds were comfortable. Good hearty breakfast. The room is warmed up by a wood stove, and when the fire is on, it is warm and nice. We were there at the beginning of October (9-5 degrees), and warming up the room was needed. I gave a 9, because for us it was a good experience, but you have to take into consideration it is a unique place.

Negative: As for warming the room, Raluca lighted the fire and made sure we knew how to work it and helped when we needed it. We loved the experience, but it can be a challenge dealing with it. Raluca doesn't speak english, but she is using a translation app. The language can be a barrier to communication and understanding each other expectations.

Positive: The location in Viscri was near the fortified church and it was delightful being part of the community in a traditional house. The host was very friendly and helpful and made a delicious breakfast with local cheeses and jam. Our room was a traditional room with lots of local artifacts and touches to make you feel at home.

Summary: A wonderful traditional village guesthouse.
