Summary: Booked two rooms, same price and one (though on the 2nd floor) basically was like a basement room. The window looked at the back of the slide to the pool and the blinds had to be kept closed. The bathroom floor had some gum stuck on the floor. The other room (same floor other side of hallway, unable to get attached rooms per request) one bed was extremely warn out (mattress) though pillows were comfortable. Cigarette smoke came through the A/C vents off and on. Unfortunately had noisy upstairs neighbors and with the new faux hardwood floors you hear every drop or drag or a chair, etc. Later between 1-3:30am strange activity from guests across the hallway with standing outside the room and trading ppl going in and out several times and would not have felt safe to address them. Surprised there isn’t security walking around, especially based on location. If that was on camera it should have been investigated for safety. Overall, didn’t feel welcomed upon arrival and clearly under renovation and I should have asked ahead of booking. The morning redeemed itself with very friendly staff for breakfast and greet service. However, I would not chance booking again.

Summary: Our stay at the Viscount Gord was very nice. The staff in the bar were quick to serve. The restaurant staff were very friendly and speedy as well. We were well looked after at the front desk as well and they too were very friendly. We also had a very friendly maid, so nice to see happy people in a work place!

Summary: I recently stayed here for a weekend and wanted to share an honest but fair review of my experience. While there were some positives, overall it didn’t quite meet expectations, especially for the price. The bed linens were clean and the pillows were comfortable, which I appreciated. However, the mattress itself felt quite worn, with a noticeable dip in the middle that made for an uncomfortable sleep. Cleanliness in the bathroom could have been better, as there was hair in both the tub and on the sink upon arrival. Additionally, the tub did not drain properly during my shower, so I ended up standing in a pool of water by the end, which wasn’t pleasant. One thing to note—though not necessarily the hotel’s fault—is that my room faced two major roads, and it was quite noisy throughout the night, especially on Friday. I found myself waking up frequently due to traffic. I was also looking forward to using the hot tub, but unfortunately the jets weren’t working, so it felt more like a warm bath than a spa experience. Additionally, one of the vending machines was out of order and the available options were limited. I don’t expect perfection, but I have stayed in more affordable places that offered a more comfortable and polished experience. With some attention to maintenance and cleanliness, this could be a much better stay.
