Positive: Beautiful, quiet spot just outside of Matakana but super close to everything in the area. The property was super idyllic and Kim was a helpful and kind host with lots of recommendations for the local area. Very comfortable accomodation and exactly as described. Loved it!

Negative: Was no problem to us at all but note that the second bedroom and the bathroom are accessed through the first bedroom so if privacy is a concern keep this in mind.

Positive: Location is great and outdoor area good. It was very clean

Negative: This is definitely not luxury or boutique and should not be advertised as this. This is actually a converted garage with all that goes with that - condensation, cold, damp, odd layout, no space in kitchen area. There is actually only one bedroom with a closing door so you have to walk through the other area with a bed to get to the bathroom. The beds, although made beautifully, seemed like they were cheap beds with very soft toppers so when two people were laying in them it formed a hump in the middle of and you almost fell out each side 🤣! In fact one member of our party who admittedly does have a dicey back drove back to Auckland to sleep as the bed would have been the end of him walking for the rest of the weekend. This unit should be advertised as a one bedroom with a separate area for kids to sleep. It is not suitable for two couples.
