Positive: Near to the where we wanted to go in Leeds. Swimming in the morning for my little one. Friendly, helpful staff. Good atmosphere in the bar downstairs. Can sit outside with drinks. Great check out time (11am).

Negative: Food wrappers under the pull out bed. Cups not cleaned properly. Wallpaper all scratched. Broken blinds in hall way (noticed this on our last visit at Easter, they need taking down). Very uncomfortable beds & pillows on this stay. Quilts too thick for this time of year.

Summary: Good for what we needed.

Positive: Good breakfast, friendly staff and the room itself was a decent size. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. Being able to access various Sky channels on TV was an unexpected bonus as well.

Negative: A double whammy of the fan in the room not being especially powerful and the absence of an extractor fan made the room like a sauna once showers were taken. Definitely not ideal when visiting in the height of summer!

Positive: The room was super clean and fresh looking. The location was great lots of bars and lots and fun.

Negative: I was given a room key, but when I entered the room, It had someone else's stuff in it, lucky the guy staying wasn't in. Reception staff were very apologetic and switched my room immediately without any questions. So maybe just have a rick off System to say which room is cleaned and ready for next guest. X

Positive: The room was quite spacious and the bed was very comfortable. As the weather was hot there was no duvet on the bed, just a sheet and this was perfectly adequate and a thoughtful idea. There was a duvet in the room if needed. Could have done with a drawer or a cupboard to put things in as there was only a wardrobe. Had to ask for a hairdryer as there wasn't one provided in the room.

Negative: We knew what to expect with a Village Hotel and chose it for easy bus access to the centre of Leeds. We were taken aback on our 3rd morning, having breakfast, to find the breakfast facilities closing down just after 9.00, i.e. shutting off the toaster, fruit salad, yoghurts and juices all taken away. When asked why, the staff said it was Company policy. This hadn't happened on the Saturday and Sunday mornings, so we can only assume times were different on a Monday morning.

Summary: A convenient hotel just outside the city centre with good bus access into the city
