Immense three floors villa with different indoor styles to satisfy any taste. Exceptionally bright livings combine effortlessly with amazing outdoor spaces such as two stunningly panoramic terraces, a nice shady garden from where to enjoy a splendid view of the volcano Etna and a stylish palette-shaped pool, ideal for adults as much as for children, and open all year round.
If you are travelling with a big group search no further. The villa can comfortably host up to 22 people while ensuring everyone's privacy and everywhere WiFi.
Villa del Cavaliere Grillo is located just outside the village of Trecastagni, a cute village 15 km from Catania and 10 km from the coast of Acireale). The villa is at the end of a dead end street where you can safely park your cars.
The ground floor of the villa consists of two apartments connected together by a huge living room that leads to the pool.
Both apartments have each three bedrooms, a living room with access to the pool, two bathrooms and very well-equipped kitchens with dishwasher meant for the primary cooking (the villa has other 2 more kitchens).
On this floor there is also a 5th bathroom.
You can access the first floor from either an internal staircase or an external one.
It will open in front of your eyes like a huge cosy space with several wooden features, a fireplace and access to a poolroom and to the panoramic terrace that continue all around the villa.
On this floor you also find 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and a basic kitchen with access to the terrace.
On the second and last floor you’ll have an open kitchen with access to a second terrace, two double bedrooms (one with an additional single bed), two bathrooms and a comfortable living room.
In Villa del Cavaliere Grillo you will have plenty of space to relax and eat together inside and outside. For your entertainment there is a pool table, a table tennis, an elastic band trampoline and a basketball hoop.
The village of Trecastagni, perched on the south-eastern flanks of fascinating Mount Etna, is a perfect gateway for exploring not only the looming volcano but also its many interesting towns and villages. There are a great number of excellent walks in the area and many very good restaurants. Coming down from the mountain there are many visits to be made: Taormina, Catania, the Alcantara Gorge and, slightly further afield, Siracusa. Nearby: visit Acireale and the fisherman's villages Santa Maria La Scala and Aci Trezza (10 km) both have pebbled beaches and a small port with vividly painted boats and good restaurants. In summer the villages become a seaside destination for the islanders who enjoy diving off the wooden platforms into the cool Mediterranean waters.

Summary: The villa was spacious and provided ample opportunity to socialize in the common areas or enjoy quiet time with a book elsewhere within the villa or on the grounds. The pool and grounds were outstanding. Our group of 18 adults thoroughly enjoyed our 8 night stay there and thank our hosts Andrea and his wife for a most memorable time.

Summary: We had an excellent experience at Villa Del Cavaliere Grillo. This home is charming, large and accommodating. It easily accommodated 19 of us comfortably as well as served as a perfect idyllic location for a beautiful reunion with our father’s extended family. The owners were lovely and responsive. We would absolutely rent this location again in the future. Our deep thanks to the owners for this accommodation.

Summary: This House gave us the most perfect way to celebrate all 17 of us, ranging from 72 years old to 8 years old. The house was comfortable and clean the yard was magnificent. The pool, the swing, the grass yard to play soccer on, the basketball, court and ping pong table, entertained the children every day. We enjoyed Andre and his wife who cooked us two of the most delicious dinners also. The grandchildren tell us this house was the best part of their vacation. We all loved this beautiful home away from home. Thank you!

Summary: We stayed at the end of May with family ranging from children, teens, parents and grandparents and all really loved this Villa. The house is lovely and pool is large and clean with stunning views. The teens enjoyed the table tennis, pool table and basket ball court. Near to a nice village with some good restaurants. Guilia and Enzo were really helpful and friendly hosts. We all really enjoyed it and would recommend it.

Summary: The villa was excellent, just as described and pictured, for our December trip with a group of 15, ranging in age from 9 to 80, with lost of space to either congregate or to find privacy. -The host/owner met and oriented us to the workings and history of his house. He and his wife provided an excellent buffet dinner on our first night, with plenty of delicious food left over. -The walk into town takes somewhat more than 10 minutes, and is gradually uphill all the way which did not deter the younger folk. -With a car there is easy access to Etna, Catania, Taormina and Syracuse, closer attractions, groceries and restaurants. -A minor disappointment, told to us in advance: the swimming pool was not working. The younger folk, determined to swim, were able to get a dip in the Mediterranean. A minor seasonal (?) annoyance was intermittent smoke from a nearby pit of smoldering bush and tree trimmings. -Overall, a great place to stay with a group - highly recommended!

Summary: The villa is superbly situated within easy walking distance of the lovely little town, with its bars, trattorias and food shops. The villa is very spacious, delightfully furnished, and ideal for a large group (there were 13 of us). It felt like a much-loved real home, not just a holiday house. It has magnificent views down towards the coast and up towards Mt. Etna. The gardens are secure and well-maintained, with plenty of shade from mature trees. The pool is large and clean, and ideal for a good swim each day. The owner, Andrea, was welcoming and charming, and he and his lovely wife provided us with two excellent meals of typical Sicilian food. We all felt very relaxed, and would love to return.
