Only 2 minutes drive to Biokovo National Park, the mountain that rises right out of the sea, with its peaks and lookout points that afford unforgettable panoramic views onto the Makarska Riviera and the area around Biokovo.
12 minutes drive to Makarska, a city of more than 15 thousand inhabitants that encompasses picturesque villages at the foot of the Biokovo Mountain. There is a ferry line which runs from Makarska to Sumartin on the island Brac.
There are plenty of activities within the region including white water rafting at the River Cetina near Omis and other water based activities.
The property is 2 and a half hour drive to Dubrovnik and 1 hour drive to Split.

Summary: We stayed in the house for 10 days. Everything was perfect. Super clean and everything was in top condition. The landlords really thought of everything for us and were super friendly. The pool was great and the view over the sea is unique. Really 10 out of 10 points!!!!

Summary: A well equipped and presented villa with amazing views and fabulous sunsets. Peaceful setting 5 minutes drive up the mountain from the seaside town of Podgora with its crystal clear waters. The owners couldn’t be more helpful and have invested and produced a great place to stay adding a ground floor and enlarging the villa to include a third bedroom, small gym and second bathroom since we last visited. Would highly recommend.

Summary: We just spent a lovely and relaxing 2 weeks in Villa Vedran in Podgora. The villa is really well planned and is spotlessly clean. We have been going on Villa holidays for roughly 20 years and this is one of the best we’ve been to for several different reasons. Vlado and Danijela were both amazing hosts. Communication was very easy and always prompt. Their recommendations for food, places to go locally and in Split etc were always spot on. They even helped me sort out a parking ticket which was very kind of them. Also the little details have also been thought through like having enough toilet roll, soaps and shower gels, salt, oil, charcoal briquettes etc. which are small but inevitably need to be bought if they aren’t supplied and they rarely are. The welcome hamper was also very classy and was much appreciated. The gym is really well equipped and there is plenty of outdoor seating. We spent a lot of time by the pool which is as inviting as the photos suggest. A car is essential but we did in fact walk to Podgora down some paths a few times. Walking back is a bit more challenging but only took 15-20 mins so is definitely a possibility if you are fit enough. Equally you can take a slightly longer route which isn’t as steep which only takes 5-10 mins longer. Podgora and Tucepi have good restaurants and we didn’t have a bad meal anywhere. This part of Croatia is beautiful and Villa Vedran was the perfect base for us. We’d be happy to go back there anytime.

Summary: Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in villa vedran in Podgora. The villa was beautiful and very peaceful. Our hosts were super and available when needed. We had hoped to walk to town in the evenings to try the local restaurants but this is not advisable but is only a 5 min car ride down to the car park and you’re on the promenade. We dined in some lovely restaurants on the sea front and the sea was the clearest I have ever swam in. Croatia is beautiful and we would love to return one day.

Summary: Villa Vedran is immaculate and well decorated throughout. The pool area is great and was even better than the photos. Lovely quiet location and breathtaking views of mountains and sea. A car is essential. Vlado and Danijela were amazing hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend.

Summary: The view from this house is amazing. It is located 200 meters above see level, so you see far. We enjoyed the pool, witch is cooled to 26 degrees I think, and the very nice interiour of the house Every room felt brand new, clean and pretty. The landlord was very nice and helpfull. At one time internet broke down, and after texting him he fixed it remotly in 10 minutes. Great service!

Summary: Villa Vedran is located on the slopes above Podgora, wonderfully quiet location, with a magnificent view of the sea and the mountains. The house itself is in excellent, as new condition. The owners have managed to combine modern equipment with the house's own charm. Everything is well maintained and perfectly clean. On the lower level there is a large area with open kitchen, dining table and living room. Furthermore, a modern guest toilet, as well as a sensibly equipped fitness room. On the upper level, in addition to the three air-conditioned bedrooms and two large, modernly designed bathrooms, there is also access to the balcony. The balcony offers a truly breathtaking view of the Adriatic Sea and the neighboring islands. Sitting there and enjoying the sunset with a glass of wine is pure vacation feeling. The house includes the large and well-kept pool with plenty of sunbeds, as well as a shaded lounge area with comfortable seating. The outdoor area is lovingly planted. Right next to the main entrance is a large and secure parking area for cars. Behind the house is a large barbecue and another shaded outdoor dining table. Everything needed for barbecuing has been kindly provided by the hosts. The equipment and condition leave nothing to be desired. From fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances, to internet, washing machine, towels, household items of any kind, everything is more than sufficiently available. Danijela and Vlado are really warm and attentive hosts, the communication was exemplary at all times. It was a pleasure to meet you. It should be mentioned that you should be mobile to get to Podagra or to the nearest supermarkets. You can take a cab down to the village for little money, but a car is highly recommended. We can in good conscience make an unreserved recommendation and would have preferred to stay.
