Summary: We stayed for the week and it was a perfect spot to relax after touring and a great location to visit many towns from the house. The house is spacious, comfortable bedrooms, and a lovely pool and outdoor area, all while being only a block from the sea. There were great walks and runs, nice cafe and restaurants all within walking distance. We would highly recommend the home for anyone enjoying the beauty of Sicily! And the host was helpful and responsive.

Summary: Beautiful spacious property. So many positive things to say. Absolutely stunning pool and outdoor area. Well stocked kitchen with water, wine, beer and sweet treats as a gift. Decoration very high spec. Floriana could not have been more helpful. Responding to all questions promptly and helpfully with lots of detail. Her dad and sister were on hand to check us in and also helped within minutes when we contacted him about a problem with the aircon. Lots of places to eat within walking distance but be sure to go further afield and visit Syracusa and Noto. We would have visited more but enjoyed our time at the villa too much!!!

Summary: We stayed here as a family of 5 - including our 10 month old daughter. The property is perfectly located and has a cot and high chair. Floriana was an excellent host. Would certainly stay again

Summary: The villa was perfect for our stay. Two families of 4 had loads of space with the villa having essentially 2 full apartments within it. The pool was wonderful for cooling down after exploring Eastern Sicily every day. The roof deck made for a perfect morning coffee and evening playing cards. Everyone was very helpful with check-in, answering any questions and check-out. I've stayed in many home rentals across Europe and NA and this one wins the prize for being even more beautiful in person. Couldn't think of one thing to change!

Summary: The villa is absolutely stunning, it’s everything that it claims to be. We visited with our 5 children 9-15yrs and had a wonderful time, it’s extremely spacious, the pool was perfect as is the beautiful outside space/dining area. There are several restaurants within walking distance and the beach is a few minutes walk away. Nearby Noto has some lovely architure and Siracusa is only a 20 minute drive where all our children enjoyed the water park and it is also a pretty town. The hosts were lovely, friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend and would love to visit again.

Summary: I cannot say enough about our stay in Villa Raphael. My husband and I plus our daughter's family stayed for two weeks! The villa itself is beautiful inside and out! Private gates to park your cars inside! The pool is just beautiful! Since there is a main floor and upper level, you have two beautiful sitting areas, 2 laundry rooms, two kitchens. And More! Great storage for your luggage and everything you bring! It is is top condition! Everything works perfectly and is well maintained! The outdoor dining area is so fun to sit around day or night! Then there is a rooftop! On the rooftop level, there is a complete bathroom, kitchen/bar area, sitting area, and outdoor seating. Beautiful view of the ocean! The owners were so gracious at all times, answered our questions immediately, and just gave the best service we have ever had! When you get there, there is plenty of water, snacks, and other great treats that we enjoyed. So many extras! Brand new towels and extras if needed. Sheets and beds are hotel quality! Thank you to Erica and Floriana for everything. You made our stay perfect. As far as location, it is great. Easy to drive around to places. A beach club at the end of the street and a great place for gelato or morning breakfast is just a block away! We went to other areas such as San Lorenzo and Marzamemi very easily. We visited a family-owned winery, and went out to dinner and had great seafood everywhere we went. I really hope to come back again! This is our 5th time in Sicily and I would say that this area is just natural beauty. Nice to get away from the touristy places! LOVED IT! The Pictures are great but it is better than the pictures!

Summary: We had a wonderful family holiday at Villa Raphael. It is a lovely villa which is within walking distance of all the amenities that you need for a stress free family vacation. As a constructive criticism I would suggest that there should be more information within the villa to explain the use of various kitchen appliances, the safe and the air conditioning units. Overall however I would have no hesitation in recommending this property as a place to spend a holiday in Sicily.

Summary: This is a great place from which to explore southeast Sicily, especially from a locals perspective. The town of Avola is not a real tourist destination and nearly all the people you come across are locals. There is a nice little beach club down the street and a fabulous cafe a couple blocks away called Novecento. There are a couple good restaurants within a five minute walk and then another handful a five minute drive. Our kids (9,6,3,1) loved the pool at the Villa. They have a nice outdoor dining setup next to the pool. The villa itself feels brand new and was super comfortable. Our only problem was that it is actually two units with separate entry/exit. It would be perfect for two smaller families because each has a kitchen but it didn’t work well for our family with four kids since they didn’t want to be sleeping in a separate unit. We really enjoyed getting to know the host family, they are super nice and very responsive.

Summary: We spent 10 days in this beautiful home in Avola, a warm and welcoming city 6 km off of Noto. The house is conveniently located and allows the visiting of all relevant sorroundings, it is beautifully decorated and equipped at very high standards. The hosts are very welcoming, professional and attentive always ready to help, yet very respectful of their guests and their privacy. The sorroundings and services are fantastic.
