Welcome to Villa Panayia!
One of the largest villas on the north-west coast of Corfu, Villa Panayia has the most spectacular sea views from all rooms. It overlooks the panoramic bay of Agios Georgios to the south and benefits from the stunning sunset view over Arillas and islands beyond - a mesmerising and unforgettable scene that will stay with you long after your holidays.
This spacious villa (2583sq ft / 240m2) is spread over 3 floors with 4 double/twin bedrooms each with their own large separate bathroom and balcony. Features include air conditioning in bedrooms, WiFi throughout, well-equipped kitchen, and separate indoor and outdoor dining areas all with amazing views. For families we do have cots available and an additional single 'z-bed'.
The villa is a short distance from both Arillas and Agios Georgios beaches. It is located near the cliff top village of Afionas, reputed to be one of the prettiest villages of Corfu. Arillas beach is a fantastic sandy beach with shallow water ideal for families with young children. Agios Georgios has crystal clear waters and is one of the most beautiful crescent bays on the whole of Corfu.
This is a family owned villa and we as a family have been coming to Corfu for the last 45 years. Over the years we have visited 40 other Greek islands and felt this location in Corfu was the perfect place to build our villa. We enjoy exploring all over the Island but always conclude the mix of fantastic beaches, dramatic scenery, numerous hiking trails, friendly locals and great selection of family-run tavernas contribute to the wonderful ambience of our local area.
There is also a very well stocked supermarket and fruit/vegetable shop 1km from the villa.
Corfu airport is approximately 35km from the villa (about 50 minutes drive). Private transfer is possible however car hire is recommended if you want to explore the local area and beyond.
Exterior:
• To the west side of our villa is a spacious outdoor terrace with an infinity pool overlooking Arillas and the islands beyond. There are comfortable sun loungers and table and chairs where you can relax on the quiet pool terrace. In the evening, you can enjoy the breathtaking sunset views.
• To the east side of our villa is an outdoor dining terrace with extensive BBQ, pergola and comfortable seating area overlooking the gorgeous Agios Georgios and the mountains beyond. You can also enjoy breakfast on the first floor terrace as the sun rises over the distant mountain of Pantokrator.
• There is ample parking space for numerous cars.
Interior:
• 4 bedrooms – There are 2 spacious twin bedrooms and 1 double bedroom on the ground floor and 1 twin bedroom on the second floor (we call it the ‘honeymoon’ suite!). Each room has its own en-suite bathroom / shower and good size private furnished balcony. You will be able to see all the individual rooms in the photos together with a picture of their en-suite bathroom.
• Kitchen – The modern kitchen is on the first floor and is well equipped with microwave, oven with ceramic glass hob, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, cutlery/crockery, cooking pots/pans.
• Dining room & lounge. The kitchen opens to a large dining area space with floor to ceiling windows again benefitting from the sea views. Beyond that is a comfortable lounge area featuring high-vaulted traditional ceiling.
• Separate 1st floor shower-room/toilet.
• Shelving with selection of books/family games.
• Children facilities - A cot, children mattresses and high chairs can be provided at your request.
• Utility room – Washing machine and ironing board.
• Bathroom towels and linen are provided.

Summary: I have been travelling to various Greek islands for over 30 years and think this is one of the loveliest areas in which I have stayed - beautiful, verdant tree-covered mountains, and very pretty beaches. The villa is large and well-equipped situated high on a hill with wonderful views of the sea and sunsets. We are a family of six (four children aged 10, 15, 17, 19) and all agreed that this was one of the best holiday we have enjoyed. If you like walking there are around 5 excellent beaches 30-40 minutes away; although some of these are crowded in August, with a bit of hunting we found a small beach down a small, steep track with only 2 other people on it, and the snorkelling and coasteering here was excellent. Similarly, we found several good restaurants also within walking distance; the nearest is the Night Owl (around 10 mins). There is also an excellent supermarket fairly close by (around 1.5 miles), which has a great selection of skewers and meats for barbecuing. Although we hired a car for the duration of our stay (from Arillas cars - excellent [also for airport transfer]), in retrospect this was probably not needed (if you are willing to walk). Organising our stay was straightforward, and Fiona provided detailed instructions before our arrival which were very useful. Overall, a great holiday that we thoroughly enjoyed.

Summary: Villa Panayia is an outstanding residence. The villa has outstanding features and every facility. We were a group of seven adults and found the villa to be very spacious and comfortable. We had a wonderful two weeks there in June. Fiona, the owner was so helpful from the initial booking to our arrival. We would certainly give the villa the highest recommendation.

Summary: We spent a week with our grown up kids and partners (total of eight) in the phantastic Villa in Afionas. I did quite some research before choosing this Villa for our special trip and I am so glad I did, because it was the perfect place for us. Spacious, so you can seperate and/or meet just as you like and all of us just loved the views you have from the different outside spots around the house. Thank you so much Fiona, for being so responsive as well as helpful. We definitively highly recommend this Villa!!

Summary: Eight of us went for a very special week in Corfu and the villa was amazing. The photos online really do not do it justice - it is lovely in everyway. Claire our 'housekeeper' was fantastic, any queries/requests we had she sorted promptly including organising a fabulous lady to come to the villa to administer massages, heaven. We ate at the villa some nights and went down to Arillas on others. I am confident we will return to this wonderful place. A big thankyou to Claire in Corfu and Fiona in the UK for being so helpful and approachable in helping us to create our special week.

Summary: We have just returned from a fabulous holiday at Villa Panayia. A group of 2 families we had lots of space. The villa is exactly as per the pictures and the views are beautiful. There are 3 lovely beach resorts nearby with plenty of tavernas and small shops. Our favourite was the sandy beach at Arillas. Fiona was super helpful in answering any questions we had beforehand and accomodated our rebooking after my husband was ill - thank you. Claire who looks after the villa was fabulous and made sure we had everything we needed. Nothing was too much trouble. We arranged a transfer to the villa/airport with local company Arillas cars and they also dropped off and collected 2 hire cars for use during our stay. This was so easy and hassle free. We all had an amazing holiday and would highly recommend this villa to anyone.
