Summary: We loved the rental. It felt like we were staying on our own estate. The road is no joke. The place is regal with plenty of space. However, you might want to remember to bring things like napkins, paper towels, and plastic cups for by the pool. Moira was very professional and accommodating.

Summary: Due to Corona restrictions we had to postpone this trip two summers. We have over the years been in contact with the host, Maura. Maura has always been very service minded. The house is beautyful and the surroundings too. The last kilometer is a bit tricky and very steep. The house is old and very charming. The kitchen is fantastic! Due to the rustiqe building it is hard to not make noices when you move around 😊. We have had a fantastic week!

Summary: We had a great holiday in the house with plenty of space and sourrounded by a huge garden. The seating area outside is perfect and hot summer days can be spent pleasantly under the trees or in the pool. It is really unique that you have so much space for your own and you will hardly see anybody the whole day in case you stay at the house.

Summary: 2020 was a difficult spring because of lockdown. So it was amazing to be able to visit Villa Ortensia in June. The huge kitchen, barbecue and comfortable bedrooms were all welcoming and the incredible garden, with water lily pond, olive groves, larch trees. and stunning views of Lago d"Iseo meant we spent a lot of enjoyable time at the Villa. Otherwise, we went for walks in the surrounding hills or along the opposite lakeshore or to shop (the places recommended in Solto Collina by Maura, the owner, Fresco Mio Supermarket and La Forneria bakery, are also in our opinion to be recommended, as well as the small fruit and vegetable shop in Via Gramsci in Lovere and the Bar Centrale in Lovere for exceptional Ice Cream). Maura was a great hostess as well as owner, she made it easy for us to find the place, was very easy-going and friendly and obviously works very hard to keep her properties in top condition. Given Covid-19 she also provided all the necessary sterilising cleaners, masks, etc., in the house so we couldn't run out. Very thoughtful of her. We plan to return in future. It was a wonderful week. As others have said, the road in and out is steep, but really not a problem with a 4WD vehicle. We recommend to go, with Villa Ortensia being bigger and with a super pavilion in the garden - but of course the view from the bedroom of Jasemine House is unbeatable. Difficult choice.

Summary: We had wonderful week in old house with history and nice interior. Children where very happy in pool with wonderful view. Maura and her husband was very warm and careful and everytime was answering quickly in all our questions :) and of course we had much adrenaline driving with car the road from/to house !

Summary: It is hard to put into words how wonderful our stay was at this house. The pictures are beautiful but they really don't do it justice. The house is significantly better in person. We were two families staying here (9 people - 4 adults, 5 children) and we had more than enough room. The house is clean, comfortable, beautiful, and felt like a dream. I would only tell you that the road in is not for the weak but it is worth it. The road in is also walkable (not with suitcases). The grounds where the house sits are beautiful and so well maintained. The pool was a huge hit! We could hardly get the kids to go see Italy as they were reluctant to leave the home. Giuseppe and Maura are lovely hosts who welcomed us so warmly. Verona and Lovere were great day trips. We will dream of going back! We strongly recommend this home for your vacation!

Summary: We stay here with 6 adults and 2 small children. Nice house and is not a standard house. Nice rooms (all with there own bathroom), good quality beds, clean and comfortable. The kitchen is a nice place to be with a big table in the middle. All necessary equipment is available and from a good quality. Art on the walls etc. Outside enough space to live and do some games. The route to this house is wonderful and the 4x4 is necessary. we had a great time and I can definitely recommend this accommodation.

Summary: The house was wonderful. It is tucked away in the middle of beautiful nature and you can be totally by yourself and enjoy the place. The place is very well equipped for large families or groups, outdoor and indoor. The beds and mattresses were of very good quality. It has furthermore wifi, many tvs, books, games and a lot of kitchen equipment. When it rains you can still be outside under any of the sheltered places around the house. The house has a lot of character and creates a lovely atmosphere. We felt home right away. Maura is a very very friendly and helpful host, and yes thanks also for letting us use the 4 wheel drive car. The kids really loved the place and we all had a great time there and want to come back.

Summary: We are very enthousiastic about the house! The location is fantastic, in full nature and with a magnificent view on the lake. I took a picture almost every day, just couldn't get enough of the view. All comfort that we need is present (and even more). Maura is a very sympathetic hostess. We got a warm welcome and all questions we had, were answered with pleasure. Thanks for that. We will certaily recommend the house to our friends!

Summary: Tenuto Novale is a beautiful house in the most stunning location.My husband myself my daughter and her family all stayed for a fabulous and magical holiday.We relaxed under the walnut trees and listened to the bells chiming across the valley.Stefania and her family were the most amazing hosts.Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were always there to help if we needed anything.It is a superb location for adults and children,and we were very sad to leave it.We visited Bergamo and the local villages Fonteno and the picturesque riva de solta .The restaurants were all excellent and good value.The property had everything you could possibly need and was spotlessly clean.We had a little problem with the entrance to the property being steep and not easy to negotiate by inexperienced 4x4 drivers! but I know that a new bridge has been installed that will make it a lot easier.We would thoroughly recommend this property with its unforgettable lake views and magical charm. we will definately return.Thanks to Stefania and all the family.
