Positive: Very helpful proprietors, convenient location for town centre, characterful small town useful as stopover for those travelling from England around lunchtime. Followed their restaurant advice, which they were kind enough to book for us upon arrival.

Positive: This is lovely accommodation, well located in the historic city of Sedan. The hosts are extremely helpful, particularly when we turned up late in the evening due to flight times. The accommodation is well-located, overlooking the castle and in easy walking distance of the town centre. We were in a second floor room in this large house, with views over the side of the property, out to the countryside. The room was very clean, well equipped, a good size, with interesting 'quirky' decor. Private parking was easy, at the back of the property.

Negative: Breakfast was placed on a tray outside the room early in the morning; fresh bread with jams, and pastries. This was fine, we were only there for a few nights, but there was limited choice/variation.

Summary: A well-located, friendly, comfortable bed and breakfast in Sedan.

Positive: Distinctively old French decor. Very friendly owners. Plenty of good places to sit outside when the weather is suitable - which it was not during our stay. Short walk (15 minutes) through castle into centre of city to restaurants about which Florence gave recommendations. Bed very comfortable.

Negative: Toilet and shower only separated from main part of room by thin curtain and no lighting at shower end of cubicle. Quite cold - could have done with alternative heating. Restriction on arrival time (17.30 - 18.30) made the house very difficult to find with busy traffic. We parked car on avenue and walked to find the entrance lane to the side of the house.

Summary: Friendly hosts with interestingly furnished house.
