Positive: If you are looking for a spacious and quiet accommodation away from major resorts, but at the same time a 30-minute car ride away from most of the interesting places and beaches in northern Corfu, Villa Nafsika is a great choice. This is a two storey house - host Maria lives on the upper floor, and the entire ground floor is for the guests: a bedroom with a double bed, huge living room with two sofas and a fully equipped kitchen (no microwave oven, though) with all utensils, a bathroom and a large garden. Maria speaks good English and is very friendly and helpful. Everything was perfectly clean, wi-fi was good. There is a TV, but we did not use it. Five cats are a nice bonus (if you are a cat person) - you might want to buy some cat food if you want to make friends.

Negative: During our stay, there was a bit of a water shortage (probably a rather typical problem in the villages at higher altitude during the high season and after months without rainfall). We were never without water (Maria has a 1000-litre reservoir), but it does mean you need to be conscious about how you use the water. We were not bothered by this situation, but if you are used to 30-minute showers, you might want to ask about the water situation before making the booking. The double bed and the sofa were OK, but not super conformable (both a bit hard). The only thing that really needs improvement is information on how to find the house - a sign on the main road would be needed, and maybe one more on the way up towards the house.

Positive: Very friendly hosts. Great garden. Far from the crowds. Peaceful. Outside sitting area. This is a single bedroom apartment with large open space living room and kitchen. 2 sofa beds in the living room, accommodating 2 additional people. Entrance to the living room, only bedroom and the bathroom is from a small hall. There is a door and a French door to a small terrace, shaded by beautiful old olive trees. House is well positioned so there is nice and cool in the morning and in the evening. Well equipped kitchen, large fridge

Negative: Bed side lamps are needed and small lamps in the living room to make it cosy. Comfortable chairs outside or deck chairs are needed as well.
