Summary: Villa Morghen is an old monastery, fully of charm and in a lovely setting. The facilities are quite basic but that is reflected in the price so it is good value for money. It is a 30 minute bus journey from the centre of Florence, the buses are quite regular and the hotel is a short walk from the bus stop. There are a small number of restaurants and cafes close by. The staff are friendly and helpful. Overall an enjoyable stay in a peaceful setting with lovely views of Florence.

Summary: Great view of Florence. good shower hot water almost on demand. Breakfast is a good choice of foods. no air conditioning. not a problem in September. Short walk to the bus.

Summary: This hotel is previously a monastery. If you know that up front, it's a good thing. The staff is friendly and helpful. The view is beautiful - but the infrastructure is like staying in an old castle. We had the family room, which gave us space...four single beds in two separate but connected sleeping rooms with a bathroom between. The bathroom was small - like you find in all of Italy. The rate was very reasonable.
