Positive: Beautiful view!!! Rose, the home caretaker, was amazing!! New pool was lovely, as was the new deck. Master bed was very comfortable. We loved having separate guest cottages. The host was VERY responsive.

Negative: The a/c in the gym did not work while we were there, but we did not try to use it until midway through our stay and they could not get it fixed while we were there due to the holiday and weekend (understandable). Also, detailed directions to the house were sent to us a bit late and we wandered around trying to find the house for a good 30 minutes or more. GPS is spotty in some locations on the island and it would have been good to have the written directions before we left the airport.

Summary: Fabulous view and comfortable, private home made for a perfect vacation

Positive: Being our first trip to the island of St Maarten, we opted to stay 5 days on the dutch side and 5 days on the french side. In Terres Basses you will find a gated, safe community with 2 amazing beaches. Although it would be quite a walk to a beach from Villa Mongoose, jumping in the car for 5 or 10 minutes was a small price to pay for the magnificent views that the villa had from atop the cliffs. The pictures are exactly what you get. I would highly recommend.

Negative: I don't think I would change a thing.

Positive: Everything about the stay was exceptional. As this was our first time visiting the island, I researched different areas and villas heavily prior to booking Mongoose Run and was very happy with my selection once we arrived and visited other parts of the island that I had originally considered. We were provided with everything we could have possibly needed in order to feel at home away from home. The location was close to beautiful beaches, in a very secure and upscale neighborhood. The villa provided a housekeeper who was extremely knowledgeable of the villa and made our stay even more convenient. She was there to assist with cleaning and laundry every other day which made this a truly stress free trip. We will definitely be returning!

Negative: The only downside of the trip was island wide electricity issues during our stay. This was obviously of no fault to the owner and with such an amazing view and villa with access to the private pool, this inconvenience was just a blip in an amazing weeklong stay.

Summary: Amazing villa in an upscale location and unbeatable view!

Positive: Rose met us at the property to give us keys and show us around. She made our stay so special! The property and view is even more beautiful than the pictures show, and the location is perfect.

Negative: We wouldn't change anything about our stay!
