Positive: The villa was beautifully designed, well maintained and better equipped than most holiday rentals. But what really made this exceptional was the hospitality and generosity of the host, Ljubo who went out of his way to ensure our stay in the Kastel area was a good one. Split is a bus ride away and the public transport system is good. A stop is a 10 min walk away from the villa so very convenient. There are many other great sites and attractions to see and Villa Life makes a great base for exploring.
Negative: Take plenty of mosquito spray, they are very friendly (although there's a plentiful supply at the villa). Some of the surrounding areas are quite industrial and not especially picturesque...you just need to be able to see this in context.

Positive: The villa is brilliant and had everything we needed for a week-long stay. It features a fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, spacious dining and entertainment areas, as well as a large outdoor pool, additional dining space, and a BBQ area. As a group of six, we found it absolutely perfect for our needs and expectations.
Negative: There was very little we didn’t enjoy during our stay. The commute into Split is relatively easy with Uber, though it could become a bit tedious if done daily. A drive is needed to reach a larger supermarket, but Ljubo kindly assisted us with this on our second day. On that note, he’s an outstanding host—extremely welcoming, helpful, and hospitable throughout our stay.

Negative: The only downside is that it’s not super close to restaurants and shops. But Uber works perfectly and is relatively cheap.

Positive: The house was great and very modern in a very nice location with a beautiful view. If I am ever in split again I don’t think I would stay anywhere else. Ljubo our host, was the nicest and most accommodating person we have ever met. He constantly checked in and made sure our stay was as good as possible. He drove us to the supermarket and to the town centre, and even offered to grill for us. He gave us recommendations for everything including dinner every night and even made reservations for us. He is a gem and every host should strive to be more like him. I would recommend anyone I meet to book with Ljubo if they are coming to Croatia. He made our experience so much more enjoyable and comfortable.
