Positive: This was our first time staying in a Gran Melia hotel, and it definitely exceeded our expectations. On the plus side: - We stayed in a lush 1 bedroom villa with private pool. We were very happy with the villa size and pool size. Our 10 year old was over the moon, and the space was ideal for a small family. The vegetation in the resort is superbly designed to optimise privacy; and the grounds are impeccably maintained with a range of tropical plants. - Staff are well-trained and the customer service is excellent. Our appointed concierge, Celine, was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble; and she was friendly, professional and super-responsive when we needed anything. Restaurant staff worked hard to take great care of customers, and were polite, patient and friendly. Special shout-out for Trinh N (captain in Natura) and Henry, for their top-class table service and customer skills; and Son and Agust from the pool bar who work hard and kept customers smiling every day. - The three restaurants were all excellent. The food is super-fresh, and menus are diverse. We ate there for lunch and dinner every day for a full week and still had plenty of options to explore. Factors to consider: - The resort is somewhat isolated; so it’s a 15-20 min taxi run into town. Tip: Have cash (VND) handy so that you don’t need to do an ATM run. - There is major construction underway next door; so the main beach and restaurants at the north of the resort bear the brunt of this during the daytime. Would recommend noise cancelling headphones if you are planning to spend time at the main beach. The music is good at the main pool, so you don’t notice the noise as much if hanging out by the pool. Overall, we had a super week at Villa Le Corail; and would recommend it. Over 50% of villas appear to have a pool, so would definitely recommend splashing out the extra few $s to make the most of your stay here

Positive: Stunning location and amazing views. When we mentioned we are vegetarian, the manager made sure, plenty options were made available. Great work Villa Le Corail.

Positive: Overall, our stay at Villa Le Corail was enjoyable and the property is truly luxurious. The service was excellent, the villa was beautifully designed and well-equipped, and the staff were friendly and attentive. However, there were two major downsides that affected the overall experience: 1. Noise from Construction – A tall building adjacent to the villas is currently under construction, and the noise during the day was quite disturbing. It significantly impacted the peaceful atmosphere you would expect from a luxury resort. 2. Beach Quality – Unfortunately, the beach area was a major disappointment. It is extremely small and more of a lagoon than a proper beach. It is not suitable for swimming or enjoying the sea, especially when compared to other hotels in the area that offer expansive, natural beaches. In summary, while the villa and staff were outstanding, the construction noise and lack of a proper beach make it hard to fully recommend until these issues are addressed.
