PRIVATE PROPERTY: This splendid farmhouse called AltaVista was in the origin a little “metato” used by the local farmers as storage and then as stable. The house has been renovated and enlarged from the actual owners who created a splendid house with a breath-taking view on the Lucca area and the Valdinievole. The house is built in stone from the outdoors, and inside reflects the typical Tuscan house with the floors are made of terra “cotto”, the ceilings of small beams and tiles in “terra cotto” and the staircase in stone. Casa AltaVista measures about 250 square meters and internally is set up of three apartments of which two joinable. Internally the furniture brings back to the antique flavors but the house is itself very comfortable in order to have a relaxing and private holiday. AltaVista is set on one of the most famous hills of the Lucca area (380 m asl), both for the quality of the air as for view. The swimming pool is set on a panoramic terrace from which you can enjoy an unforgettable view.
Interiors
The house is set on two floors. The first floor opens on a living area with little corner kitchen and sofas (of which one sofa bed), then there are three double bedrooms all with ensuite bathroom with shower and the access to the garden by French doors. Also, on this floor there is the main living area with an equipped kitchen and dining and the access to the external dining area that can accommodate 12 people. Through an internal stone staircase of 16 steps, there is the access to the first floor composed of two double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom with shower. Also, on this floor, but with access only from the outside, a little corner kitchen with a single sofa bed, a double bedroom with little terrace, and a little bathroom with shower.

Summary: We had a great stay at the villa - everything was clean and the surroundings very well kept! In general the villa is equipped with everything needed and offers a lot of privacy also when using it with more than one family. There is someone coming every day to empty the rubbish and have a look all is well with the garden and pool, which we found was a great service! The view from the villa is outstanding but be aware the roads are challenging. ???? Thank you very much for the stay, Elisa!
