Summary: Our stay at Lorenzo's place was absolutely fantastic. The place is spacious and gorgeous. A bunch of cute little kittens were eagerly awaiting our return from the beach every day. Our kids had fun with the donkeys and the pool. As mentioned in all the previous reviews the house is not far away from dozens of beautiful beaches (the nearest maybe 15 minutes by car). The little village nearby has two bars, a hairdresser and two small supermarkets, a gas station etc. Lorenzo's a great guy. He provided us with tons of useful tips, searched and arranged trips for us using his connections. Heck - we even got a crate full of organic veggies through one of his friends. We recommend taking the kayak tour!!! Highly recommended, especially if you have kids! Mille grazie e a presto!! Alexandra and Ivan

Summary: We had great and relaxing two weeks in September in Lorenzos house. Our two kids loved the pool and donkeys. There are a lot of great beaches around Palau, for sure you need a car to go there. Lorenzo gave us good advises for trips and events, our big son is still talking about the canoe trip organized by him! Definitely a great place to stay as a family. All the best from Germany

Summary: We stayed at Lorenzo's villa for one week in October 2017. The house was relaxing- we could go outside, sit in the sun, eat breakfast on the patio and lay in the hammocks. There are two donkeys at the villa who you can feed. My siblings enjoyed petting the donkeys. The house is located in a small village and twenty minutes from the ocean. Lorenzo is a very welcoming person and gave us some great tips on the island. Through him we were able to spend a day out on the sea exploring the islands by La Maddalena it was a lot of fun! We recommend this home to anyone looking for a great place to stay in the northern part of Sardinia. Thank you Lorenzo for a brilliant stay. Olivier (12) and family

Summary: We stayed with our two daughters (7 and 9 years old) in Lorenzo's house. We had a fantastic week, super relaxing in the garden and the 'chillroom' inside the house as our daughters called it. The house is situated near the village but it is set in super peacefull surroundings and the donkeys kept us company during our stay. A big plus is the swimmingpool and the fantastic host, Lorenzo. He knows everything about the Island, gives great advises where to go and is very kind. You feel very welcome!

Summary: The property was better than expected. No untrue pictures. We felt immediately at home. Also because of the nice host, Lorenzo. Not intrusive, but some nice tips at the right moments. We can recommend a stay in this place. For sure.

Summary: The property closely matches the description and pictures and is a special find if you wish for a secluded and peaceful location. It is off-road in a rural country area with ample parking for at least 2 cars. It is a few minutes drive from a small town and supermarket and both tank stations and larger supermarkets are easily accessible on route to Palau. It is characteristic, rustic and arty rather than modern - and ideal for families and relaxing at the house - especially during midday heat. Opportunities for relaxing at the property are great: front and back shaded seating areas, hammocks under shady trees next to a grassy and tree surrounded garden as well as a small but functional pool and garden chairs. The outdoor shower is a treat after swimming or coming back from the beach. The property is clean and well maintained and is easy to keep cool during the midday hours. The owner is extremely accessible - living nearby but not within the property - helpful and able to advise you on the right beaches and possibilities for organizing boat trips or visits to sites in the area. We enjoyed lazing at the property during midday, sleeping in the hammocks, feeding leftover food to the resident donkeys, visiting and eating out at many small towns like "Aggius" in the surrounding areas, visiting the stunning beaches close to Palau and Rena Majore, exploring the many country roads and scenery and also a boat trip to the Maddalena archipelago. The house added to an unforgettable experience in this beautiful area of Sardinia.

Summary: We stayed at Lorenzo's beautiful villa for 10 days in June, myself, my wife and our 18 month old son and we loved it. The villa is perfect for what we needed, good kitchen facilities, large fridge, a good sized cot for the little one and a handy buggy to take him out in. This was our first holiday with the little one and having these bits really helped. The outdoor area is fantastic, the villa has a good sized front garden with a pool and two hammocks, perfect for taking a siesta in the midday sun!. Then there is the back garden with a BBQ and trees providing a nice shaded area, lovely to have dinner outside and talk the night away as the sun sets. The location is great, it’s far enough away from everything to be peaceful but only 15 minutes drive to the coast and Palua, there are literally hundreds or beaches to choose from, we also went to the Maddalena islands which we highly recommend. There are a few small stores in Bassacutena, a 3 min drive away but there are two larger stores a 10/15 minute drive away towards Palua which were handy. Lorenzo was so helpful and kind during our stay, he showed us several places to visit which were fantastic and we would have never found them without him pointing them out. He hope to come back one day. Oh and our sons favourite bit? The Donkeys!! Highly recommend for everyone including families with children of all ages! Grazie Lorenzo!

Summary: We had a marvellous ten-day stay at this tranquil rural home. We were two adults and two teenagers and the house suited us perfectly. We enjoyed eating outside with just the occasional sound of donkeys - Nina and Murika. Lorenzo is warm and welcoming and gave us a our privacy while also being on hand and really helpful about where to visit. A highlight was a canoe trip downstream to the sea spotting the ibis and kingfishers with Lorenzo as our guide. We would happily stay again and certainly come back to see more of beautiful Sardinia. Summary: We spent a joyous two weeks in this upland retreat only 15 minutes drive from the coast. The house was perfect for dipping in and out of the hustle and bustle of the holiday season which was in full swing at the beginning of August. Its location allowed easy access to beaches and seaside activities right along the northern coast as well as trips to the cork oak forests and medieval towns of the interior. The owner, Lorenzo, was discreetly on-hand to provide useful local knowledge (in excellent English), allowing us to quickly orientate ourselves and get on with our holiday. The tastefully decorated house provided ample space for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenagers). Two terraces ensured plenty of shade to relax during the heat of the summer sun, the pool was great for cooling off and the shady hammocks allowed a number of books to be consumed. We thought in August that the night time heat would be difficult to cope with but the location of the house means that the evening temperatures drop away allowing a great night's sleep on comfy beds. We can not recommend this house and its owner more highly, Lorenzo went out of his way to help us have a wonderful holiday and memorable experience. The donkey composting system was great fun too!

Summary: Enjoyed a wonderful, relaxing two weeks at this lovely countryside retreat. The house is very well equipped and comfortable. The outside shaded areas and the pool provided a refreshing alternative to the crowded beaches at this time of year. Would recommend to anyone who wants to get away from it all, whilst at the same time being near to lovely areas to explore.
