There is parking for one car on the drive and plenty of space to park outside the villa on the road.
St Llorenç is a fortified,medieval village in the foothills of the Pyrenees, on the banks of the river Muga. There is a small shop plus bars & restaurants. The villa is surrounded by stunning scenery and offers a peaceful,relaxing holiday, the chance to experience the "real" Catalonia away from the busier resorts. For a more energetic holiday there are mountain walks, cycling (BTT Routes) horse riding and swimming. The climate is fantastic, hot & sunny in the summer, warm & sunny in spring & autumn. Winter is often cold & frosty over night but the days usually bring blue skies & winter sun with the snow capped mountains making fabulous views. The villa is in an ideal position to explore the beautiful towns & villages of Catalonia as well as the pretty costal villages.
There is a riding stables close by as well as a mountain bike hire centre.
Figueres is the closest town, about a 20 minute drive away. Here you will find everything you would expect in a town as well as the world famous Dali Museum. France is 30 minutes away,we are 1 hour by car from Girona & 1 hour by train to Barcelona. The ski resorts are just a 1.5 hour drive.
NB. Due to the Corona virus I have removed all the toys and games, except the table tennis table and football table. I have also removed the salt, pepper, tea coffee etc. I have reduced the kitchen equipment and removed the cot and spare bedding. Before you come I will send you an inventory, if you feel that there is anything missing that you really need then please tell me. I'm still providing towels but if you would prefer to bring your own please tell me. The safety of my guests, myself and my family is very important. All kitchen equipment will be washed and frequently touched surfaces (e.g electric switches, sockets, door handles TV remotes) disinfected between guests. If you have any concerns please tell me.

Summary: This is an immaculate, modern, well equipped villa in a stunning rural location surrounded by beautiful scenery. The villa was more than big enough for our party of 9 and the kitchen definately has the "wow!" factor. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, and the bathrooms are fabulous. The games room provided extra entertainment for the kids as did the play area just down the road. Lovely pool and terrace area-constructed to provide shade at the hottest part of the day-and plenty of seats. St Llorence its self is a very pretty walled village with several good restaraunts-just a short walk along the river. Lara and Chris were on hand when ever we needed advice about places to visit or where to eat, and definately helped us to get the most out of our stay. We will definately be back!

Summary: This villa was a real find. It was for us the perfect place to unite two families for a holiday. The villa is in a lovely location surrounded by mountains but only a short flat walk from the ancient village of St Lorenc de la Muga with its portcullis and narrow windy streets. The villa itself was finished to a very high standard and offered us the flexible accommodation we needed. All the bedrooms were a good size and the living accommodation light and spacious with great views. There was a large, very well fitted kitchen which opened up onto the terrace and lovely pool area and a large sitting/dining room with sufficient seating for all of us. The owners Chris and Lara were extremely welcoming and made sure we had every comfort at our disposal. The accommodation was spotless as was the pool which Chris regularly checked for our comfort. The pretty village of St Lorenc is a nice place to walk to in the evenings. It has a couple of small but nice restaurants and a large terraced area and bar which looks over the village square where the children play in the evenings. There is also a small shop that sells all the necessities. For walkers and those seeking peace and tranquillity this is a wonderful spot where the air is clean and the scenery stunning. We wanted relaxation mixed with a bit of culture and we found that Figueres, about 20 minutes away by car, offered us the Dali Museum and a host of other interesting places to visit. I would definitely recommend this villa and our hosts who could not have been more charming. We are hoping to return next year.

Summary: Best holiday home we have ever had. The house is great, the photos are a true representation. The village is really quaint & the countryside & scenery spectacular. If you are looking for a tranquil holiday home with the option of getting a buzz not too far away, choose this. You will need a car as the bus service is minimal. We liked the owners too who live here so are aware of all the best places to go to. If you want all night discos this is not the place for you, although you can get them on the coast, which is not far away.
