Villa Golden Blue is a private home situated on one of the prime knoll tops on the East end of St. Croix. It features a magnificent vista to the North Shore including Buck Island and the St. Croix Yacht Club. To the East is the iconic Countessa’s Castle and unequaled expansive views of the rising sun. The Southern terrace offers mesmerizing ocean views with the sounds of the ocean waves on the coral. At night this terrace is superb for stargazing.
The large free form pool is surrounded by native flora. Open, large doors create breezes to make outdoor living indoors. The property has plentiful patio space surrounded by flowers and palm trees for private reading and relaxing. The kitchen is fully equipped including a commercial gas range. All bedrooms are equipped with a/c units. Newly installed ultraviolet water purification system.
The closest beaches are Cramer Park and Jack and Isaac's Bay located 3 - 5 minutes East respectively to the villa.

Summary: My husband and I rented the house for a two week stay with my in-laws, my parents and our 4-year-old daughter and everyone agreed it was wonderful. Pros: The house is spacious, as is the pool. The beds, linens, and furnishings are quality and comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped. The outdoor spaces are endless and a huge boon to the property. The lounge deck at the pool, hidden hammocks and outdoor eating off the dining room are beautiful living spaces and the patio space on the other side of the second floor is the BEST location for open ocean views, night star gazing and the perfect way to spend evenings with a drink. Grocery, beaches and Christiansted are nearby by, but you get the secluded peace up the hill. Char is excellent house manager. Things to know - and, I say this because none raised to the level of a Con for us but they may impact other travelers depending on your preferences: Iguanas are present and animal's poop :0 In our case, the daily iguana visits to the pool were a highlight for my daughter. She equally liked the small lizards only 2 of whom we ever saw in the house - we expected this, and it didn't concern our group. The bedrooms have splits, and the AC made the sleeping areas plenty cool. The main areas of the house are not AC'd. We found that the open air set up and ocean breezes made it comfortable. Water temps got warm but not HOT. We adored the island and the space and will be back next year!

Summary: Loved the property. Worked well for 7 of us. Char, the property manager, met us at Ziggys and took us directly to the property. She gave us a quick tour and explained some of the things we needed to know. When we contacted her, she was very quick to respond. It is nice to see someone doing their job the right way!

Summary: This property was amazing, and the views of the North and South shores were spectacular. The property manager was great to deal with and made checking in a breeze. The house came with everything needed to make our vacation easy and comfortable. If you like to cook like I do, the kitchen came fully stocked with all the needed utensils which was definitely a huge plus. Highly recommend booking a stay here.

Summary: We had a wonderful week-long stay at Villa Golden Blue in March 2024. The home is on a hill with incredible views from the expansive outdoor areas. The pool was beautiful and large enough to swim laps. We enjoyed the indoor/outdoor living that was possible when we opened the huge doors on the main floor living area. There is a cross-breeze that makes air conditioning unnecessary, although we did enjoy the AC in the bedrooms at night. The house is a short 15-minute drive or so from Christensted for dining and shopping. There are also numerous restaurants and bars within a couple of minutes' drive. Most of the beaches we went to are a little drive; Rainbow Beach and Cane Bay Beach were our favorites. Our experience with the property owners and the property manager were nothing but positive. They went above and beyond to make our stay as perfect as possible. I wholeheartedly recommend Villa Golden Blue!

Summary: The house is great! It has everything you need.The views are absolutely stunning. We loved the pool and swam in it every day, despite there being an issue with the pump which was corrected. Stephanie, the property manager was very responsive. The only negative was the driveway into the house. We rented a van because we had 6 people and luggage. Really need a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Ended up parking at the end of the driveway; otherwise we'd bottom out. That said, I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Summary: PRO's: The property itself was stunning. The views of Contessa Castle and the Carribean were unmatched. This was out second time in St Croix. The ability to have both sides of the house open for crosswinds really made it feel like indoor/outdoor living. It also allowed both sun & sunbathers to enjoy the views. The generator sure did its job when we lost power during the unusually outrageous 3 days of wind/rain that wreaked havoc across the entire Carribean this week. Even with the weather, St Croix is breathtaking from here We loved the mini fridge and the Gourmet stove in the kitchen and appreciated the beach chairs, and towels you had for us. CON's: The house is showing its age. cabinets in kitchen broken, doors knobs loose, not closing or getting stuck (had to help several times with the upstairs bathroom to get our friends out). The front door lock had a glitched that ess locked us out one night. My husband had to fix it. The outdoor hot tub and outdoor shower were not working, nor was the master bed jet tub. *There are several areas where the bricks are worn and chipped leaving a very uneven and significant trip hazard. There are soo many light switches, you have no idea what turns on what, some appear to have no use whatsoever. It would be so helpful if they could be labeled. Even after a week, I had no idea what some of them were for. *With all that being said, it didn't ruin our time there. I just thought being thorough would help others. It's hard to pick a VRBO

Summary: This property is amazing. It h has everything we needed for a wonderful family vacation. The pool was the perfect temp for nighttime swims! I guess they talked to the iguanas because they were all completely well behaved (much to our teen boy’s disappointment, lol!). The perfect location to easily get to Jack and Isaac bay, Christianstead, and point Udall. Cane bay was worth the drive, highly recommend you do that as well! This home is equipped with everything we needed. We loved the open doors and the breezes that flow through the house. The views are breathtaking. House was clean and updated. We will DEFINITELY be back. Thank you!!

Summary: It was a disappointing experience for most of us. We could have looked past most things, however communication with the owner was basic, sometimes disappointing also. Communication with the property manager became uncomfortable once threat of a tropical storm came. From there confusion set in, and caused our family another day and a half of stress and inconvenience as we had to promptly were told to find a different place to stay. No storm ever hit btw. The animals up there are a bit out of control. The iguanas took over the pool every mid day, followed by large piles of excrement. They werent afraid to swim with us, but were..There is a bird that also cqme around throughout the day and left his "tracks" behind. He was in the house daily. Also a cat, it too felt the need to zoom in long enough to get into our trash and urinate on some of our towels. I was so excited to cook meals for everyone in that beautiful kitchen, how's there is no central air in the main house and not enough breeze can come into the kitchen to cool it down enough to cook. A med size oscillating fan on the wall gave momentary relief , mildly. The back patio has several broken bricks and most all of us got a stubbed toe before it was a shoes only and watch your step scenario. The views were amazing, but I also went on to stay at 4 other VRBOs before leaving the island, and I can definitely say there is something better on stx at this price point, with same amenities.
