Positive: Our stay at Villa Godahena was fantastic. The villa is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by nature – the perfect spot to relax. Despite the quiet location, everything important is easily reachable by scooter. The staff were amazing – friendly, attentive, and always there when needed. The food was excellent, with a great selection to choose from. Always freshly prepared, and you could truly taste the quality. Every meal was perfect. We felt very well taken care of and would highly recommend Villa Godahena for anyone looking for a private, relaxing getaway with excellent service.

Positive: We stayed at Villa Godahena for 5 days and had a wonderful experience. Nestled in a peaceful area, the villa offered a serene, nature-filled ambiance. Each room had its own outdoor bathroom, which added a unique and charming touch. The villa comes with attentive stay-in staff who were incredibly helpful and ensured our stay was comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the delicious local breakfasts and the option to dine in. The pool and outdoor terrace were highlights of our stay—perfect for relaxing and unwinding. It was so inviting that we hardly wanted to leave the villa.

Negative: For us the Villa's location was great, as we had our driver. It is however a bit out of the way.

Summary: A peaceful retreat with great staff, delicious meals, and an amazing pool and terrace.

Positive: Staff were excellent. Villa was simply superb. Three excellent ensuite bedrooms along with everything you might want in the kitchen for a self catering stay. Breakfast was great inc., fresh fruit, coffee, eggs and toast.

Negative: Don't order the extra menu items, they are exorbitant. Have your evening meals at local restaurants. Charged 2000 rupees for 2 sausages, menu said 1400 for 3. Charged 1400 for 2 rashers of bacon. Menu stated 4 rashers for 2300. In all 3400 rupees for 2 sausage and 2 rashers of bacon equates to more than £9. Leaves a bad taste! Plain rice is charged at 1000 rupees, add a little carrot and onion and the price more than doubles to 2100. (We provided the meat/fish for the two evening meals and breakfast was included. The chips, salad, and rice for two nights for four people cost £85. Plus £36.50 for sausages and bacon some of which were not ordered!)

Summary: A beautiful villa with great staff. Shame about the exorbitant food costs

Positive: Big pool, Good, u can also self catering as there’s a great kitchen Is not an hotel, as its an house built during colonization is immersed into nature. It takes to set properly as families tend to come 5/6 Days so there’s not a daily change of guests, u can arrive that house has been closed for days. Immediately interested nature means all animals u can figure out. So u need a certain adaptation. 3 rooms. 3 bathrooms also with a shower practically if raining the shower bath is basically opened to roof, interior are interesting.

Summary: Sampath is a good owner, private company place far from nowhere to relax

Positive: Such a beautiful location. The setting is really lovely, the veranda his generous and perfect for the climate. The villa manager, Sampath, was easily contactable and made arrangements for us, nothing too much trouble. All staff polite and discreet. Pool and grounds were terrific abs very pleasant. Plenty of catering options too, food was very tasty.

Negative: Nothing to criticise
