Positive: Stupendous views across the valley towards the sea, and within 300m walk of the atmospheric and charming villa of Kroustas. Hans and Jacques are charming and helpful hosts with lots of suggestions for places to visit. Do take their advice and drive up to the Katharo Plateau: spectacular drive through the mountains, and not as scary as you might think! Breakfast was plentiful and at 13e, good value. An easy drive to a couple of beaches with crystal clear water (you may want to take beach shoes for the stoney strip into the water). Ayios Nikolaos easily accessible.

Summary: The hosts say the villa has the best views in the prettiest village in Crete - hard to disagree!

Positive: A 4 rooms hotel, in an excellent location above the Mirabello bay, 800 meters from a lovely village which has 3 very good restaurants. A convenient starting point for tours to all the recommended spots in eastern Crete. The owners, Hans and Jacques, are very friendly, always there with good advices, responses and helpful hands. Excellent rich and fresh breakfast cooked and served efficiently by Jacques and the smiling helping lady (I regretfully forgot her name). All the staff speak good English (and some other languages). The rooms have wide balconies with comfortable deck chairs, to enjoy the view and the nature surrounding the place.

The breakfast offered a rich variety of options, catering to all tastes. The hosts were incredibly friendly and attentive, providing everything we needed, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Positive: Wow! Breath taking view, ceiling and floor have interior heating and cooling system..to keep the room at the right temprature when you are away/or inside..but you can adjust it further but wasn't needed at all even even it was so hot outside during our stay super clean, modern rooms, nice balconies ..huge front and at the side as well..sun/shadow whatever you like/warmest owners to help and inform about everything/excellent service/so quiet place to sleep(mattresses are one of a kind they heal any back pain😁..and relax /but yet not far from the center/ kroustas and kritsa are so warm and cute villages with small shops and coffee shops to drink coffee ice cream or drinks..10year old kids loved the villa/!!thank you we definitely coming back 😁 nikolaos 100/10💪💪❤️🇬🇷🏖️🇳🇱

Positive: Wonderful views from room and balcony onto sea and mountains. Superb sunrises (if you like early mornings). Jacques and Hans know the area very well and give helpful tips on walks and sights. No problems with parking.
