Summary: This was a perfect base for visiting Ancient Olympia while enjoying the beach and sunsets as well. Our hosts stocked the house with some starter supplies and the lemon, orange and grapefruit trees were a bonus! Check in and out was very easy. Relaxing and watching sunsets from the deck was just what we were after. Thank you Chrysi and family!

Summary: The property was lovely with a beautiful sea view. The beach was a bit further away than we expected, but had a sandy beach and easy entry points. The hosts were gracious and stocked the refrigerator with wine, beer, water, and fresh fruit.

Summary: We had a great stay in Chrysi´s villa. The house is exactly as shown and described: modern and very well equipped. The view on the ionic sea is really impressive with spectacular sun dawns. Reception by Costas and his wife was very warm. He would help with all Information required and simply show up if needed. The serviced beach just a few steps below the villa is small but well maintained. The Hotel Vrionitis has a nice restaurant with good food, very friendly service and beautiful views on the sea. We were in Katakolo in the 2nd week of September. Although it is a Harbour for gigantic cruise ships, due to the Covid 19 situation the village was almost empty and many places, especially shops, already had closed. We really enjoyed our stay a lot and thank Costa and his family for their hospitality.

Summary: The house was great, providing many of the household basics not often found in rental properties, and the host was very helpful during the holiday. The location was perfect for us, as it was 5 mins walk to a lovely beach which provided perfect swimming. The view from the terrace is amazing, and we saw beautiful sunsets there every night.

Summary: We rented the Villa Chrysi because we wanted to have a family holiday near to our Greek relatives who live nearby and we could not have chosen a better place to stay. The Villa Chrysi is a modern, well designed and well equipped villa in a beautiful peaceful location with wonderful views across the Ionian Sea to Zakynthos. The sunsets were unforgettable! The property is surrounded by olive trees and several lemon and orange trees. There were brightly coloured bougainvilleas and jasmine bushes growing on the terrace and the air was full of the scent of their blossom. There are numerous beautiful beaches in the area including the beach at Ahios Andreas which is about 5 minutes walk away. The pretty little port of Katakolo is only about 5 minutes drive away or we could walk along the track from the house that winds it’s peaceful way along the top of the hill through through olive groves and small fields. The walk to Katakolo takes about 35 minutes and is well worth it and there are numerous excellent tavernas and cafes along the harbour front to enjoy when you arrive. We also enjoyed several pleasant walks through the vineyards to nearby villages. Chrysi and her parents were charming, friendly and helpful hosts and summary we could not have chosen a more perfect location for our holiday. We have many happy memories of our stay at the Villa Chrysi and will return!

Summary: When we booked this place, we thought it would be isolated. When we arrived we found that it was in a lovely setting, but close to everything we needed. Katakolo is the cruise ship port for visitors to Olympia, so has many restaurants and gift shops, as well as supermarkets and other necessities. We had an enjoyable relaxing stay, with meals on the front balcony. The hosts were perfect, leaving us generous supplies. The house is very comfortable and spacious, well designed and decorated. There is a downstairs double bedroom, while children can have the 2 single beds on the mezzanine, with a separate bathroom. Only wished we could stay longer. Allow yourselves time to relax.

Summary: The house is beautiful, even nicer than the pictures suggest, with a lovely lawn around and a beautiful view of the sea and sunset over the family's olive grove. The beach is a short walk (less than 5 min) down the hill. The town and harbour is less than a 5 minute drive away. The house itself is great: spacious, comfortable and with amenities like A/C and an espresso machine. Chrysa was very friendly, stocking the kitchen with some food to get us started, and her father (who lives nearby) was also available to answer questions, suggest restaurants, etc. We had an amazing stay. I really can't recommend this property enough.
