Positive: The property was quiet throughout our stay. Patio was a nice place for us to relax.

Negative: The place is quirky. Everything from old locks on the doors they don’t allow you to shut them without locking them, to no sitting space within the villa. The owner seems like a kind person, but he is quite overbearing.

Summary: The Algarve is tremendous, and this place was serviceable. However, I don’t think I would stay again.

Positive: The location was not far from many attractions and beaches in the Algarve. The place has a quaint and cozy feel. A bit rustic, and lots of greenery. The host and his wife were kind and responsive. We made sure to gift them a box of chocolates before we left to show our gratitude for their kind and friendly attitude.

Negative: We were constantly dealing with Ants in the apartment, and my kids had a lot of mosquito bites while asleep in their beds, even though we never kept the front door open. The same goes for the swimming pool, which had bugs and bees floating in it. The pillows were very uncomfortable. Overall, I would have given a higher review score, but after inviting us for a dinner at the property's kitchen, which I was prepared to pay for, I was surprised on the last day that he charged us EUR 90 for that dinner. I was shocked, paid it quietly, and moved on. That left me bitter.

Positive: The complex is in the countryside, just outside the town. The apartments and villas are very well appointed, with everything you need for your stay. Dark and cool inside with vibrant gardens outside. Carlos and Monica are excellent hosts. Very friendly and generous. They cooked us a lovely Portuguese seafood dish in a very tasty delicious broth The pool is gorgeous, with salt instead of chlorine. Sparkling water with a platform to jump off.

Negative: There was nothing to dislike

Positive: The location is away from the hustle and bustle so you should hire a car to get around. The rooms are great, very stylish and Carlos was a great host. He made a big soup and involved our son when he was cooking it. Carlos gave us some of the yummy soup, along with salad from his garden and some eggs, would highly recommend staying here. There is parking inside the property and even if it gets busy there's ample space outside to park. Would like to go back sometime, obrigado Carlos!

Negative: Haha, those roosters woke me up in the morning! But Carlos was kind enough to give us some eggs from his chickens so can't complain 😊 Just don't stay up too late if you're a light sleeper in the morning!

Positive: Lovely and quiet location - Carlos and his wife were very welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. We had a great meal at the restaurant! There is a small football pitch for the kids to play and a decent sized pool. Our kids loved our short stay and the nature and animals - they say hello to black panther! (Carlos' friendly cat)

Negative: Having your own car is recommended to get around, which we did have so was fine for us. Otherwise you could get a taxi
