Positive: Great views on the river. Easy to find. Great location for waterfalls. Kitchen well equipped. Very warm also on cold days. Traditional wood sauna. The main bed was really comfortable.

Negative: The decor really feels as if you are visiting grandparents but the grandparents are no longer at home. There are pictures of relatives everywhere, and the decorations feel really outdated. I would not recommend using the third bed in the additional bedroom, especially not for a child, as it is far away from the main bedroom and looks like a children's room left some 50 years ago. Also the light at the barn kept turning on and off during the night and shines into the bedroom, making deep sleep a bit hard. Overall I think the place has lots of potential and was reasonably clean, but really needs some updates.

Positive: Location was fine, view to a lake.

Negative: Met who we think was the owners very briefly. They did not speak english and we don’t speak finnish. Very little information regarding heating system. Maybe it is common knowledge for locals, but not for us as tourists. We were cold! A bit dissapointed over all. Kitchen bin was not emptied, you had to make up your own bed, the place looked a bit like someone just gotten up and left 5 minuts before we arrived!

Summary: Not what we expected. We think the description of the place sounds better them what you actually gets

Positive: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Blue. The house is warm and inviting, and perfectly situated for visiting the Riisitunturi National Park, Ranua Zoo, the nearby Auttiköngäs waterfall, Rovaniemi and other attractions, while still being close to local shops and cafés. The lake view from the living room is breathtaking, and seeing reindeers wander through the garden added a truly magical moment to our trip. Check-in outside standard hours was smooth and very convenient. The house is spacious, quiet, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The internet was fast and reliable, and my son loved it so much he didn’t want to leave. Staying here made our holiday in Finland feel memorable and authentic. A fantastic place to stay - highly recommended.

Positive: The host of the property were lovely. They greeted us when we arrived at the property and had the sauna ready for us. The apartment is at a great location. There is a lake behind the apartment. If you are lucky you should be able to see northern lights from the apartment itself.
