Positive: The owners Eleni and Dim are wonderful and offered hospitality beyond expectations. The meal they cooked for us was amazing. The villa and outside area are even better than the photos, completely private and very well equipped. We all loved the basketball hoop above the pool! So much fun had with it. WiFi is reasonable both in and outside the villa. The main villa has three double bedrooms, one of which has a mezzanine with an extra single bed. It's worth noting that one of the bedrooms is next to the living area, with one wall being half height then a curtain for privacy. Our teen girls made it work but not complete privacy if three couples were sharing. There are two apartments built under and alongside the main villa, which are not rented out if you rent the main villa but can be included for bigger groups. There is a minimarket, pharmacy, supermarket (well priced), petrol station and butchers all 5 mins walk or less. The village has three tavernas within walking distance, serving traditional Greek and Cretan food. We tried two of them and the meals were delicious. 20 minutes taxi transfer (minivan) from the airport cost us around €70 return. We recommend Kriti Allios (Minoan Fruits) guided tour (find online/TripAdvisor). It's a 25 min walk from the villa and a most enjoyable few hours.

Negative: Having to leave! ;-)

Positive: We loved everything about our stay at Villa Amelie. The villa and gardens are beautiful and the pool is a good size. There is plenty of space to either gather as a group or find some time and space alone. Several shops including a supermarket, fruit and veg shop and butchers are within a 5 minute walk. Best of all though are the hosts - warmth and friendliness radiate from Eleni and Dimitris and they genuinely care about ensuring you have the best time while staying in their lovely villa.

Negative: There was nothing we would change, we liked everything!

Negative: Only thing I would say is definitely hire a car for easier access around the island, the villa is around 10 15 minutes drive from the center!

Positive: Villa Amelie is a little paradise! It has a gorgeous, well-kept garden. The pool is a good size and very clean as it is cleaned daily. The villa is equipped with good air conditioning. The rooms have a balcony. There are also various places to eat and relax in the outdoor pond. Everything is clean and well maintained. Eleni and Dimitirios are exceptional hosts. They are always available and supportive if you need anything. Just lovely persons! We had a wonderful time and can recommend Villa Amelie 100%!

Positive: Eleni and Dimitris are the most welcoming, friendly, helpful and surprising hosts I have ever met, we all felt like we knew eachother since forewer. Everyhing was clean and wonderful at Vila Amelie, it’s like a little Paradise, we loved every second of it. The pool is the perfect size and gets cleaned every morning by Dimitris himself, there is many sitting areas, beautiful flowers, trees surrounding you that it can be overwhealing in the best way. There are also a lot of games to play, the kitchen is probably better equipped then my own haha and there is a jacuzzi in the main bathroom. The hosts made our stay unforgetable with little attentions and they can organize birthday parties or aniversaries for an extra cost if you wish that, everything is soo worth it. I never write reviews but this time it was impossible not to. Highly recomand to families or/and friends. If you have any doubts, don’t!!!Go for it, you will not regret it. I hope we will go back some day😍😍😍
