Positive: We couldn't have breakfast most days because we had to leave very early to see Hampi at sunrise. We had it on one day then it was good. But we were generally back for lunch and that was spotty, they didn't always have everything on the menu.

Negative: In general, service was slow. The buggy wasn't always available when we needed it and we had to wait 5 to 10 minutes. Since we left very early in the morning we had to walk it to the lobby and once got lost. It would have been good to have early morning buggy, and coffee on request.

Summary: Okay, could have been improved tremendously with some changes such as a buffet, lunch or dinnern

Positive: The resort itself has so much potential to be fabulous. It has wonderful garden grounds which provide a tranquil setting amongst nature. The general staff were all lovely .

Negative: Basically, the Vijayshree resort lacks good management and oversight, from the stuffy, dark restaurant to the recreational facilities. There was a strange rigidity in what the hotel would cater for, eg. despite being described in detail on menu, the restaurant staff were incerdibly reluctant to provide a simple grilled cheese sandwhich. It was as if management had instructed staff to confine the meal selection to the prepared buffet items only. The tables were left uncleared and the service was excruciatingly slow. Not even the corn flake dispenser wanted to be there as every day refused to dispense its contents.. There were so many staff standing around, but everyone seemed intent on staying in their lanes! Management needs to step up and give guidance. The games room was literally a hotch-potch of broken pool cues and busted ping pong balls. The weights equipment was also non functional. While no one enforced it, a broken sign stated the rates to use the room facilities were AUD $9 per 30 minutes. Unbelievable for a 5 star resort. The pool area, while nice enough , didn't cater for more than 8 people due to a lack of sunbeds and towels. This was a rediculous and dissappointong set up for such a large resort. And omg....don't call for room service..not only will it take hours to arrive but the charge on your bill for a simple jug of milk for tea came in at around $12. Dirty food trays were left outside rooms in the common area for 24 hours. Be ready to get stung on your washing too, 22 items cost me $50. The design of our our garden view bungalow was pleasant enough but the bathroom door was heavy and difficult to open. Anyone with a disability would real trouble. The garden furniture outside our back door was covered in bird droppings. There are so many beautiful areas but no where to sit, relax and enjoy them. I think the resort has so much potential but the management were straight out of Faulty Towers.

Negative: The dry area of the bathroom was getting wet during showers, so a barrier is needed between the wet and dry areas. Please add more floor mats and tissue
